Advantages: Price, Quality, Service. Disadvantages: Shame they only do european cars!
I posted an opinion about my Porsche 924 earlier and I mentioned Eurocarparts, so I thought it only fitting to add a review of them.
I first encountered Eurocarparts almost a year ago when I started looking at buying a Porsche and someone pointed me in their direction to see what spare parts prices would be like. They company caters (as the name implies) purely for European car manufacturers, to be more precise the following makes ... ...Renault, Saab, Volvo and VW.
The website is top notch and easy to navigate, but beyond that is the extent of their stock range, I'm driving a 1978 car and I can find most parts readily available through these folk. But it get's much better than that, imagine walking into your local car dealership and asking for the price on a brake cylinder - they tell you £61.00 +vat, you then walk into your local car shop and they tell you £30... ... more

I first encountered Eurocarparts almost a year ago when I started looking at buying a Porsche and someone pointed me in their direction to see what spare parts prices would be like. They company caters (as the name implies) purely for European car manufacturers, to be more precise the following makes are currently covered - Audi, BMW, Citroen, Mercedes, Peugeot, Porsche, Renault, Saab, Volvo and VW.
£30's obviously the one you're gonna take isnt it? But then someone points you in the direction of Eurocarparts who have the exact same part at £4.00 - it's like "huh? is that the right part", well yes it is! Basically what you are getting isnt the original manufacturers part at that price, but it's probably going to be the same one that your local car parts shop was going to sell you at £30 and chances are he's getting his stock from Eurocarparts.
Now, you're asking yourself is that a one-off example I've just given, well... no it aint! Since buying our car I've picked up the usual wear and tear parts for her at a fraction of the cost of any other supplier - exhaust centre box £15 from Euro when everyone else wanted circa £80, radiator fan switch £3 when the next best price was £24, Brake shoes/pads are easily half anyone elses price.
Eurocarparts have various postage options, standard delivery is £4.99 per order, but they also have depots all over the country and there is no postage fee if you collect direct from them. But even with postage charges, if you are looking at an expensive item it will still be ludicrously cheap!
If you've got a european car, whether you do your own maintenance or not, next time something needs replacing just take a look on Eurocarparts and then see how much MORE everyone else is charging...
Advantages: Good availability, low price, good customer service Disadvantages: Some pattern parts are of poor quality.
Been using Euro car parts now for around six years. Started using because of the shocking prices VW were quoting me and have since used them for BMW, Renault and Porsche. On every occasion so far they have under cut main dealer prices usually by around a half.
Nine times out of ten they have had the part i needed on the shelf and on occasions that they did not they have managed to get one in within a couple of days.
Qualitiy is normally of the ... ...that have been less than top notch but at these prices there hardley seems room for complaint.
The staff are normally friendly and efficient and unlike Halfords staff seem to know what they are talking about.
I have a high regard for this company but as of late have been using German and Swedish who for the same kind of prices supply parts that are normaly the same as the original but at pattern part prices. These guys were recomended to me by ...

Advantages: Cheap Disadvantages: Crap Customer services, language barrier if you have to speak in person
(online site) Great Prices on replacement parts but volvo dealer cheeper for genuine. Absolute pathetic customer services ! _ A ridiculous joke - 16 phone calls to fix a problem. Not including the numerous times they pick up the phone and hang-up before you can say a word !Still waiting for a managert to phone me back !!!!! even though told he would phone within 10 minutes ( told that 5 times! ) Apprently this company employs a from all ethnic backgrounds ... ...on phone calls than the part was worth - even had one guy tell me they couldnt have sent the part they did cause they dont stock it anymore - MORRONS !! Ended-up ringing trading standards and asking them to sort it out. If you want cheap parts ( and quality to match) good enough - but if you have a problem kiss your money and time goodbye ! Go Somewhere else (like Partsforvolvoonline.com) ...

Advantages: top service at low prices Disadvantages: none that I have found
I would recommend this company one hundred percent, not only do they carry vast stocks of spares and accessories for most makes of European cars and some vans but their prices are well below normal dealers and their service both over the net or on the phone could not be more helpful. Having used this company for some considerable time I have found them to be most reliable and in most cases they can deliver their products by the next working day thus ... ...vehicle off the road for several days, as I have had happen to me in the past, even with main franchise dealers. In most cases they can offer either original equipment parts or really good alternatives at even more reduced prices, offering even higher savings to us hard-pressed motorists. I have no hesitation in offering this company my highest praise! ...

Advantages: Large variety of parts at a reasonable price Disadvantages: Slow and sometimes give out the wrong parts
As well as having the website, Eurocarparts have walk in trade counters dotted around the country - it is with these that I have the most experience. Yes, they stock a large variety of parts at a good price. The trouble is actually being able to buy them. If you go in to their shop expect to wait. There are usually very few people serving and they can take a while to find the items you need. Then, when they have found the item its sometimes wrong ...

Advantages: Needed something to do with all my free time Disadvantages: Customer service is rude and not helpful if they reply at all
Euro Car Parts charged my credit card $60 without my approval to ship a $40 item the size of a pack of gum. I noticed the charge about 1 week after the order and tried to find out when and how it was shipped. I was first told standard shipping charges were double what was shown on their website but they still didn't tell me if or how it was shipped. Since I never received anything and didn't know if it was shipped I needed to buy the part elsewhere. ... ...got someone to finally answer me about when and how they shipped the item. Seems they think I'm responsible if the company they selected without my knowledge didn't even deliver the item in 6 weeks when I was charged for 3 day delivery. I will have try and get a refund though my credit card company because Euro Car Parts thinks it is fair I still pay for this item and shipping when it never was delivered. ...
