Advantages: Loads Of Information On Music
Disadvantages: No Information Referring To Weeks Spent On Charts

...I would suggest you visit Everyhit.com and prepare yourself to be amazed. SO WHAT IS EVERYHIT.COM? Everyhit.com is a totally free website which is a database of every singles and album chart published in the UK from 1952 to the present day. It is updated each week following publication of the new chart every Sunday afternoon but its true strength as with any Database is its vast archives. Whether you are a dedicated music fan, a pub quiz enthusiast ...
...homepage of this site which Everyhit.com defaults too looks rather basic but don't be deceived. There are eight fields on the Database on this page as below: - Name of Artist - Here you type the name of an Artist in full or alternatively you can just type the first few letters of the Artist. For example if you are searching for The Beatles but not sure of the spelling or the exact name of this band and type "Beat" then your results will turn up ... Read review

Advantages: Searchable Pop Chart Placing Info.
Disadvantages: Lacks Some Depth of the Guinness Chart Books

...the really avid fan the everyhit.com site does not offer catalogue numbers, release dates, re-release information, and number of weeks on chart information, all data that the yearly Guinness books do offer. Whilst this information is lacking credit has to be given to Everyhit for compiling a huge amount of chart information into a most searchable and usable web format. I hope the site develops over time to give more information about each and every ...

Review of everyhit.com by Bryn_Pearson

Advantages: useful info
Disadvantages: not as fully connected or detailed as it could be.

Everyhit.com does exactly what it says on the package - it a record of UK hits (singles and albums)from 1952 onwards (when effort was made to take note of such things) with reference to notable singles before then. The site is gloriously easy to use - on arrival, you may opt for the search facility, which you can search for artist name or track title. (Don't just type in the surnamne, it doesn't work.)The site will then list everything that matches ...
...only list the first fifty, so if you search for something really huge, like 'love' or "Elvis' then the first fifty is all you get. A search for Elvis won't show you any Elvis Costello for example, and there's no pption of 'show next 50'. Singles info does seem to be kept up to date. The site also lists number ones, Christmas number ones, top selling songs for years and decades - again these are really easy to search through. There's a couple of ... Read review
