Advantages: Searchable Pop Chart Placing Info. Disadvantages: Lacks Some Depth of the Guinness Chart Books
...the really avid fan the everyhit.com site does not offer catalogue numbers, release dates, re-release information, and number of weeks on chart information, all data that the yearly Guinness books do offer. Whilst this information is lacking credit has to be given to Everyhit for compiling a huge amount of chart information into a most searchable and usable web format. I hope the site develops over time to give more information about each and every ... ...other pages, with interesting and relevant singles chart information, such as award show and ‘poll winners’ stories, specific record breakers information, and a useful ‘Number 1’s” chart, Credit has to go Dean Jackson for such a superb site, and I hope he can afford time to grow the site in the future, in addition to updating the existing band of information, which is done weekly!

Everyhit.com does exactly what it says on the package - it a record of UK hits (singles and albums)from 1952 onwards (when effort was made to take note of such things) with reference to notable singles before then.
The site is gloriously easy to use - on arrival, you may opt for the search facility, which you can search for artist name or track title. (Don't just type in the surnamne, it doesn't work.)The site will then list everything that matches ... ...only list the first fifty, so if you search for something really huge, like 'love' or "Elvis' then the first fifty is all you get. A search for Elvis won't show you any Elvis Costello for example, and there's no pption of 'show next 50'. Singles info does seem to be kept up to date.
The site also lists number ones, Christmas number ones, top selling songs for years and decades - again these are really easy to search through.
