Having excite as the search engine on my home page, I do use it quite often, however in some ways, compared to yahoo, and the other major players, it does still need considerable refining. when you search for something, you are quickly provided with a vast expanse of links, but unfortunately, most of them may have nothing to do with what you are after. this is because the sites are listed in order of quality, and not in order of relevancy to what is being sought. On the bright side, excite's main positive aspect is the its category by category links, which ARE slightly more concise and you can find whatever your after better, I feel by using these link chains.
