EZ-Surf, as you may have gathered from my other op about it, is an online search directory. This directory, like many others such as Yahoo!, Lycos and AltaVista, also provides a free email service which, in my opinion, is a good few cuts above Yahoo!, Lycos or AV mail.
The first good point has to be the colour scheme, as a Bradford City fan the first thing I see as I check my email online is a claret and amber colour scheme greeting me. Although this is not really a part of the service they offer, it would give me that 1/4 inch preference to it over another if they had the same standard of other services.
Apart from that, they offer a whole range of services including: a choice of languages (British English, Spanish, German, French, Dutch, Italian, Swedish, Danish, Norweigan, finnish, Russian, Japanese, American English or Portugese), 5Mb (a fair amount in my opinion) of disk space and FREE POP3 access so you can access your email through your favourite program, for example Outlook or Pegasus as long as it accepts POP and SMTP access. It also has a built in spell-checker and is very easy to use and also very aesthetically pleasing.
It does have one downfall, however. The email address is not at a top-leven domain eg @ez-surf.com or even at the site address; @ez-surf.cjb.net but it is @ez-surf.zzn.com which is a seperate address you have to remember apart from the actual EZ-Surf site. This aside, I think it is a very good, and very free, E-mail service.
One last point I would like to make is that EZ-Surf mail also advertises all other half decent free email services so that you have choice which I think is a very redeeming feature as they are not only plugging their own service, and this also passes the message that "If our service is crap, why would we advertise all these other services?".
Well worth it in my opinion. Ciao!
