How can I earn money by encouraging new members
to join Ciao?
You can invite new members to join Ciao in two main ways: either by
sending them an e-mail which contains a link to the Ciao registration
form, or by posting Ciao banners and other advertising materials
containing links to the Ciao registration form on your own website.
For each new member whom you recruit for Ciao, and who writes at
least one product review on the site, we will make you a one-off
payment of 50 pence, and then pay you a 50% commission on your
member's earnings* from the Ciao website for the first 6 six months
of his/her membership. (* Excludes survey earnings.)
Does Ciao offer more than one invite-a-friend
programme?
Yes: Ciao offers two different programmes for inviting new members to join
Ciao. The Ciao "Partner Programme" is an affiliate programme for members
who operate their own websites and who place banner adverts and text links
to Ciao on them to attract new members. The Ciao "Invite Friends" programme
is open to all Ciao members and involves them merely in sending e-mails to
relatives, friends and acquaintances inviting them to join Ciao. Both
programmes are remunerated at the same rate: 50 pence for each registration
(provided that the new member writes at least one product review), plus a
50% commission on all of the new member's earnings for his/her first six
months of membership (excludes survey earnings).

How much can I earn for each new member which
I generate for Ciao?
You will receive 50 pence for each user who clicks on the link either
contained in your e-mail invitation, or in the banner on your website,
and then registers to become a Ciao member, provided that (s)he writes
at least one product review on the site. You will then receive a
50% commission on each of the new member's earnings for his/her
first six months of membership (excludes survey earnings). So, if
you managed to recruit just 20 new members over a 6 month period,
who each earned £20 in that time, you would have made
(20 x £0.50) + (20 x £10) = £210.
How can I see how much I have earned through
inviting friends to join Ciao?
You can keep track of your earnings simply and easily by consulting your
Ciao account statement regularly. All earnings from the Ciao "Partner" or
"Invite Friends" programmes will appear under these headings on the statement.
You can access your account statement by logging in, going to your "My Ciao"
area and clicking on the "Account" tab.
How can I receive payment of my earnings gained
through attracting new members to join Ciao?
All earnings from recruiting new Ciao members are paid into your Ciao
account automatically. The links contained in the e-mail invitations
for the "Invite Friends" programme, and the banners for the "Partner"
programme, contain a URL with a unique identifying code which enables
us to tell which members have been recruited by you. You can thus be
sure that none of your earnings will get lost. Once you have reached
a minimum account balance of £5 (for all actions on the Ciao site),
you can request a payment into your bank account. To do so, go to the
"Account" tab in your "My Ciao" area and click on the "Request Payment" link.
