of Trust
Use
your Circle of Trust to tailor Ciao's content to your personal preferences
Once you have set up a Circle of Trust, the Ciao product pages that
you see when logged in become personalised according to your preferences.
Product reviews written by trusted members will be displayed at
the top of the review list, thus enabling you to access recommendations
from trusted advisors quickly and easily.
Use
your Circle of Trust to "bookmark" your favorite and most
interesting authors
The members who belong to your Circle of Trust should be those whose
opinion you most value: you can use the Circle as a way of finding
and identifying reviews and comments from authors who you find useful,
interesting or funny, or those whose written style you appreciate.
Be
very selective with regards to whom you add to your Circle of Trust
Make sure that you only invite people to your Circle of Trust whom
you wish to support and who you think write reviews of consistently
high quality. Adding a member to your Circle of Trust gives him/her
extra community points, so please make sure that these points are
not awarded without reason.
What you must avoid when using the Circle of
Trust
Do not add other members to
your Circle of Trust just for reciprocal purposes
Adding a member to your Circle of Trust is like giving them your
personal seal of approval. Please do not merely add other members
because they have added you: this defeats the purpose and devalues
the Circle member status.
Do not ask other members to
add you to their Circle of Trust
Asking members to add you to their Circle goes against the trust
principle on which the Circle is based. Other members should elect
you to their Circle of their free will and not because you have
encouraged them to do so as a means of gaining extra community points
or reads.
Do not use the Circle of Trust
as a click circle
The Circle of Trust is intended as a means to enable you to "bookmark"
authors whose opinions you trust or whose reviews are consistently
interesting to you. Please do not abuse the system by using it as
a way of identifying your friends' reviews so that you can click
on them to increase their reads. This is dishonest and unfair to
other members. If you are found to have been part of a clicking
cartel, your membership will be revoked.
