  1. How can I compare products on Ciao?
When you have narrowed down your product selection by clicking through the product sub-categories to determine increasingly specific characteristics of the product you are looking for, you will be presented with a Search Results Table. Check the boxes next to the products which you wish to compare, and press the "Compare" button to generate a customised "Product Comparison Table" showing the main characteristics of the products chosen. Click on the "Detailed product comparison" button to see even more detailed product specifications. ,bnxnbkx-n b

  2. How do I change my product selection?
To remove one or more of the products shown in the "Product Comparison Table" and narrow down your selection, simple click on the "Remove product" link at the top of the table. To add further products, press "Back" in your internet browser's navigation tools to return to the Search Results page. Then check the tick boxes next to the products which you wish to add to the table and press the "Compare" button.

  3. What is the extended product comparison table?
The Detailed Product Comparison Table shows all of the same information as the Quick Product Comparison, plus additional technical specifications, dimensions (where appropriate), and information concerning the guarantee. The information provided varies according to the products being compared.

  4. How reliable are product ratings?
Ciao's product ratings are obtained by averaging the scores awarded by all of the members who have written a review of the product in question. They are a fair representation of what the shopping public thinks about the product, though obviously the more ratings which have been awarded and averaged, the more representative the overall rating will be.

  5. How reliable are product specifications?
Though all product specifications are based on official manufacturer data, we cannot guarantee complete data accuracy as human error cannot be avoided when transferring data on to the website. If you find an error in any of the product specifications listed, please inform us of it and we will endeavour to correct the error as soon as possible.

  6. How reliable is the price information given?
The prices included in the Price Comparison Table are obtained via data feed direct from our partner shops, thereby ensuring that price information is kept up-to-date. Since this information is obtained from a third party source, however, we cannot guarantee its total accuracy.

  7. Where can I find more detailed product information?
Ciao offers you a range of information sources designed to provide all the information you require to make a shopping decision. Detailed product specifications can be found on the Detailed Product Information page, while the Review page gives you a chance to find out how particular products have stood up to daily wear and tear. Should you nonetheless be unable to find the information you require on the website, you can find links to useful further resources on the Ciao Web Tips tab.

  8. How can I buy the best product from the selection of products in the price comparison table?
The product offers listed in the Price Comparison table can be sorted according to your own, particular priorities. If price is of primary importance to you, then you can sort the products into price order by clicking on the link at the top of the table. You can also sort the list alphabetically or by the shops' quality ratings in the same way.

  9. What is the difference between the product comparison table and the hitlist?
In particular product categories (e.g. DVD players), we have compiled lists of Ciao members' favourite products based on the product ratings that they have awarded. Items appearing in the Hit List are sorted by their popularity amongst members who have written reviews. The Product Comparison Table, however, compares products' technical data and specifications and does not take member reviews and ratings into account.
