  1. How can I format my reviews?

    You can add the following formatting instructions directly to the text of your review when writing or modifying a review. In the preview and in the final review these formatting instructions will automatically be replaced by the formatting you chose and your review will be displayed with the selected formatting options.

    • Bold and italics cannot be combined.

    Formatting options are only available for standard reviews, but not for quick reviews, comments or guestbook entries..

  2. What do I need to consider when formatting my reviews?

    • Please respect the hints and follow the examples given in the table above. Even minor differences can cause problems and the formatting will not be shown correctly.
    • Do not use headings or bold / italics excessively! To guarantee that a review is clear and easy to read an error message will be shown if more than one-third of a review is made of text with special highlighting. In this case, please try to reduce the number of headings and shorten the passages in bold or italics.
    • No email support. Unfortunately, we cannot provide individual support for questions on formatting regarding reviews.

  3. Can I preview the formatting of my review?

    Yes. Click on the „Preview“ button before publishing your review. In the preview all formatting instructions will be shown as in the final review. If you want to change your review again, simply click on the „Edit“ button.

  4. Why are certain formatting instructions not displayed correctly (as desired)?

    Please respect the hints and follow the examples given on this webpage. Even minor differences can cause problems and the formatting will not be shown correctly.

    In case of display problems, please also consider the following hints:
    • Headings as well as all numeration points need to be placed at the beginning of a new line
    • Headings as well as text passages in bold and italics need to be "closed", i.e. the formatting instructions must be put at the beginning and at the end of the passages and must not contain line breaks.
    • You cannot use a numeration within a numeration.
    • Headings and numerations cannot be combined. This means that a heading cannot be part of a numeration and a numeration must not contain a heading.
    • You cannot use additional formatting options like e.g. bold or italics in headings.
    • All formatting options can only be used for the review's text. Headings, advantages and disadvantages as well as comments or guestbook entries cannot be formatted.

  5. Does my review's format have an influence on my Community Points?

    As regards remuneration, we do not differentiate between formatted and unformatted reviews. However, an appealingly formatted and well structured review increases your chances to receive a positive evaluation from other members.

  6. Can I format a review later?

    Yes. You can add or modify the formatting of reviews you already published. Just open the respective review and click on „Edit Review“. You can enter the desired formatting instructions directly in the text of your review.

    In the quick reviews you can only use line breaks as a formatting option. However, you can

    No. Currently this option is only available for standard reviews.
