What are "Favourites"?
Your Favourites tab in your "My Ciao" area is rather like a collection of
bookmarks in a web browser. The names of your preferred product categories,
products and reviews are listed here so that you can relocate them later at
just the click of a button, rather than having to search through the
different product categories.
What purpose do Favourites serve?
The primary function of the Favourites tab is to enable you to locate
your preferred products, categories and reviews easily, but they also
have a secondary function of allowing other Ciao members to find out
more about you and your personal preferences. If you decide to make
your Favourites tab visible in your public profile, then other members
will be able to find out more about the person whom they are potentially
about to add to their Circle of Trust, or whose review they are about to
comment on.
How can I add a Ciao product category to my
Favourites list?
Once you have logged in, go to the product category which you would
like to add to your Favourites. Click on the "Add to Favourites" link on
the top right-hand side of the page, next to the category name.
How can I add a product from the Ciao catalogue
to my Favourites list?
Once you have logged in, go to the product overview page of the product
which you would like to add to your Favourites. Click on the "Add to Favourites"
link on the top right-hand side of the page, opposite the picture of the product.
How can I add a Ciao product review to my Favourites
list?
Log in and click through the product categories until you find the review
which you would like to add to your Favourites list. Then scroll down to
below the text of the review and click on the link "Add review to Favourites".
How can I view my Favourites list and edit
it?
Simply log in and go to your personal member area "My Ciao". Click on the
"Favourites" tab, and then on one of the three links at the top of the page
("Categories", "Products", "Reviews") to see complete lists of each type of
favourite. To remove one of the items on the list, check the tick-box next
to it and click on the "Remove" button. See questions 3 and 4 above for
advice on how to add items to your Favourites list.
How can I see other members' Favourites?
When logged in, visit another member's public profile. Here you will find
"Favourites" listed as one of the tabs in the member's portfolio,
provided that (s)he has chosen to have it on display.
How can I hide my Favourites list from other
members?
Simply log in and go to your personal member area "My Ciao". Click on the
"Favourites" tab, and then on the "Do not display Favourites in public profile"
link at the top left of the page.
How can I delete my Favourites?
Simply log in and go to your personal member area "My Ciao". Click on the
"Favourites" tab, and then on one of the three links at the top of the page
("Categories", "Products", "Reviews") to see complete lists of each type of
favourite. To remove one or several of the items on the list, check the
tick-boxes next to them and click on the "Remove" button.
