Advantages Does entertain

Disadvantages large expensive

A jumperoo is probably one of the largest pieces of equipment you can buy for a baby. It does look very exciting and you can see it's appeal but I think unless you have a high tolerance level for annoying noises and have a very large space to put it you will wonder if it was worth the money.

They cos around £80 brand new which is an awful lot of money for what is a toy.

It is a seat which is suspended on the frame which is made to look like a rainforest with it's leaves and random rainforest creatures hanging down. This seat workers like a bouncer as your baby pushes off the floor it will spring like an indoor bouncer would. All around this seat is a table with various activities on it such as a rattle, a bendy toy, some lights and several others.

All of the toys on the seat are of a rainforest theme and are very brightly coloured. This makes children interested in them and encourages them to interact. The animals hanging down encourage your child to look up. The chair can move all the way round so that every toy is easily accessed.

The chair itself is quite well padded so your child should be comfortable in this. There are no straps though but it looks rather secure.

When your child gets excited the music plays and this includes lots of animal noises. Basically the more your baby bounces the more the music will play. This is a rather annoying noise and very repetitive, for such an expensive toy I would expect it to vary more and for there to be more options noise/music wise.

It is a very large toy, it does take up a lot of floor space and with it being round you cannot easily just move it to the side of the room so it is certainly not a toy if you have a small room to put it in.

My granddaughter adores her jumperoo and will sit in it for a good twenty minutes at a time playing with it and bouncing. It has helped her to strengthen her leg muscles and does help to tire her out so she sleeps well! She certainly seems to enjoy it.

My daughter and I were discussing it the other day though and we both agree that we don't think it is worth £80 as it isn't used for all that long. A child will soon out grow this and it actually doesn't do all that much- just a few rattles and bounces and has music which keeps repeating. You can buy them for much cheaper when you get them second hand, some sell for around £40 and that is a much more reasonable price to pay. It is quite hard to keep clean though as the seat is fabric and difficult to get on and off so it's best to just sponge it clean but this doesn't always get the stains out.

If you have a large space for it and the money and tolerance for the music then it will be a good purchase but if not I advise you spend your money on something else!
