I received reccommendations and good reviews of this sign from a message board of a different fitness related webpage. Strange as it sounds I wasn't there looking for a diet idea, infact the opposite, I wanted tips on building muscle on to my frame so in a way I wanted to put weight on.

FITDAY.com does NOT allow you to enter customized activities nor does it correctly calculate calories burned. You are unable to change the calories without changing the activity time, which everyone is different. This is a super-important feature and worthless without this very important feature.
If you use a heartrate monitor and know your exact stats, it cannot be inputted so the exercise tracker is worthless.
Should they add this simple feature, it will then be competitive with every other free online service. ...

Advantages: Free, customisable Disadvantages: Not so relevant to UK users
I started using Fitday.com when I was following a low-carb diet. I needed to keep track of my carbohydrate intake, and to be honest, I just couldn't be bothered to be constantly looking up carb counts in books and record them with pencil and paper. Fitday.com was the solution.
Fitday.com is a free site which helps you to monitor your diet and exercise. To use the site, you have to register, which is free, after which you can set it to remember your ... ...up, there is a tour on the front page which shows you what's available on the site. I found that the site usually loaded quickly and was simply set out and easy to use, if not the most attractive site I've seen.
Once you've logged in, you will see a list of sections on the toolbar on the left: Home, Foods, Activities, Reports, Weight, Goals, Journal, Calendar, Help and Guidelines.

Fitday.com is a free website to join, you register put in your login name and then answer a few questions about yourself, sex, height , weight, type of job etc so it can work out what your base level of calories should be each day (NOTE these can be changed at any time if you change jobs etc.)
After this you can now use Fitday.com basically as an online journal of what you have eaten and the exercise you have done. The ... ...eat and after a meal you simply add them to your daily log.Due to the information you provided earlier the site will tell you how much you should be eating each day so you can compare what you should be doing with what you're actually doing and see if you're making progress.
