Flutter.com has added a brand new dimension to betting.
The idea arouse when the founders Josh Hannah and Vince Monical agreed on a fun bet at a party. Josh lost on that occasion..., but looking for an opportunity to get the better of Vince, he proposed a new bet via email. The two had such a great time challenging each other head-to-head over the net that before long they were developing a web site to enable others to join in the fun of person-to-person betting.

Flutter.com gives you the opportunity to bet with other punters in a bookie-free environment. This basically means that you can obtain much better odds than any bookie could possibly give you. It also gives you the opportunity to bet on any event you like or on any outcome you don’t fancy.
There are two methods of having a flutter.
Exchange ----------- This area is tailored to horse racing and greyhounds. You can do any of the following: 1) Back a horse or greyhound to win 2) Lay a horse or greyhound (Bet that they wont win)
One-on-One --------------- This area is for all other sports and events betting You can do any of the following: 1) Take someone else’s flutter (Take someone on) 2) Place your own flutter (Let someone else take you on)
I will try and elaborate a bit on the “One-to-One” area since horse and greyhound racing has never taken my fancy.
First select a sport or event that you might be interested in. Say for example if you selected Football today, you would be met with several upcoming matches eg. Liverpool vs. Man Utd. (Charity Shield). Select the match of your choice and you are then given a wide choice of bets to choose from eg. Liverpool win, Man Utd win, Match drawn after 90 mins, First goal scored before 15 minutes or 30 minutes, 3 or more goals scored during the game etc etc. Select which bet you fancy. This will bring up a page containing individual people who basically do not agree with your selection and thus become your opponents. Each of them has laid down the odds they are willing to give, the maximum amount they will wager with you, the maximum number of times he can accept the same wager and finally the amount you stand to gain if you win the bet.
Alternatively you can yourself place your own flutter and give your own odds, select the maximum you want to bet and the number of people you can take the same bet from.
It may sound a bit confusing to those who have not used this site but the excellent news is that they provide you with a Step-by-Step guide on how to use this site and how to place a flutter. You really cant go wrong with it because it gives you an actual demonstration of the pages that you would be viewing and how to proceed along any avenue you choose.
If you study all the bet options available, properly and thoroughly, you may stand to gain a profitable sum of money as you generally get some “die-hard” fans who are so sure of a particular result for their own team that they sometimes go over the limit in the odds that they are willing to give.
You can have a flutter on a wide range of regular sports which include, Football, Motorsports, Golf, Cricket, Rugby Union, Rugby League, World Athletics and Tennis. Then you have the General Flutters on things like Business, Entertainment and World News. This is where the fun starts are you place flutters on really strange and funny things. I guess this is one of the reasons that makes this site so different and so much fun.
For all you know I might put a flutter on say “Ciao will start paying 10p a read by next month”. Mind you I would probably lose a lot of money on that, but this is just an indication of what you can do on this site.
So for all of you out there who have not yet joined or used Flutter.com, you are really missing out on something special and of great fun and entertainment.
Advantages: Can make you some handy extra cash. Great fun. Disadvantages: Can lose you a pile if you gamble rashly!!!
~ ~ Fancy a bet on Elvis being discovered working in Burger King before July of this year?
Or a bet on the chances of aliens attacking a major European city.
Maybe you think you know who’ll win the sexiest male Soap star in this year’s awards, or who winner of the next General Election will be.
If you believe in the existence of the Loch Ness Monster, you can gamble on her existence being proved beyond doubt, or on her being caught ... ...very small selection of some of the more “off the wall” bets you can make when you join a new betting website called www.flutter.com.
~ ~ Now if there’s one thing in life I must admit I really enjoy then it’s a little gamble.
So I was delighted to find this site recently, as it is far more fun than your average online bookies.
~ ~ The idea is very simple, and as far as I can make out almost a sure fire winner for the Internet ...

Advantages: Better odds than bookmakers. You're up against people like yourself. Site runs beautifully on PCs. Disadvantages: Won't work on a Mac. Commission on bets and withdrawals maybe a bit high.
Betting has never been a way of making money but having money at stake on something (for example the recent England vs Greece game), can make it so much more exciting.
Since the Internet betting revolution began most of my online bets have been made at Flutter.com. The simple reason being that I take far more pleasure out of winning someone else’s money than that of a bookmaker. On the other hand if I lose I’m safe in the knowledge that my money ... ...than Ladbrokes’ favourite Swiss bank account.
The concept is, I’ve found, initially quite difficult to grasp. Imagine though a simple bet you make in the office with a colleague as to whether he will pull a certain female that evening. The bets for a tenner, i.e. if he scores you give him a tenner and if he doesn’t he gives you a tenner. Naturally the bird just wants to be his friend and you’re a tenner up the next morning. More to the point though ...

Advantages: A simple, fun, colourful website. And a great betting concept. Disadvantages: You often find some really stupid odds being offered. People who have no idea about betting! {as though I'm experienced! ;-)}
...I had been a flutter.com member for a short while and found it very fun. I bet quite a lot (not vast sums, but reasonable amounts...beer money etc) and love betting and sports (bad combination I hear you mutter! -I know-). I had won the odd £20-£30 and had obviously taken advantage of the free £10 for initially joining... so I had not used any real money and was now in position of enough finances to make a night of it! A few beers, a curry etc...
... ...the time, flutter.com were offering a free £5 bet to have between yourself and a friend who you introduce to the site and who then register. The winner of your little wager would then get another £5. This could only be done once per member for obvious reasons. It was a great incentive for new members and probably gained flutter.com thousands more registered members. A great thing for the entire flutter community.
******* I obviously took up this ...

Flutter.com is a great site for a small time gambler. More often than not, the odds on offer are much better than those offered by bookmakers.
I started at flutter.com with an initial investment of £10 and have only made small bets since then (2 or 3 quid). The most i have staked to date is £15 on an evens favourite. However, i have managed to earn over £50 in less than a month betting on once or, at most, twice a day. The best way to win on this ... ...lot about, e.g. football or greyhounds or whatever. For me this is horseracing (as my opinion on the subject shows!!) i make one selection in the morning, or evening, before racing and then i bet on it. Generally i ask for slightly better odds than i expect so, for a horse which is roughly 1-2 i will ask for evens. Most of the time these bets are matched, that is the beauty of the site, there is always somebody willing to oppose your choice. This ...

Advantages: fun to use, bet on just about anything Disadvantages: have to give credit card details when you first register
www.flutter.com, is a gambling site with a big difference. You are placing bets with other members and not with an online bookmaker.
When you first come across this site, you are offered a "free" £5 bet against the choice of four people. When you sign up,which only takes a few minutes and are requsted to have a user name and password as is normall with web sites. Once your account has been opened, you are credited with a ten pound(£10) bonus just ... ...about evrything you can think off. From footbal matches to cricket or the general election. When you decide what you want to bet on, you click on the bet and then are given a list of other members who will give you odds on certain scores, or first goal scorer.
If you win your bet your account is credited with your winnings, if you loose your bet,the person you bet against wins your money. A nice feature is that you can make up bets for people to ...
