I have used flying flowers a few times over the last few years and have always found them to be ok. Unfortunately the service seems to have gone downhill recently. I ordered some flowers for my mothers 78th birthday about a week in advance. On the expected delivery date, no flowers. When I telephoned there was no real sincere apology or offer of any compensation or bigger bouquet for my disappointment they merely said they would send more.
5 days ... ...These were the original flowers by now over 10 days old and fairly useless. The replacement flowers did arrive this time only 3 days late but were also very poor.
Having spoke to others about my experience I appear not to be the only one who has suffered poor service on delivery and quality
Needless to say I was very disappointed with both the service and the end product and will not be using them again. If delivery day and quality are not important ...

Advantages: Can order on Internet Disadvantages: Do not reply to e mails
I ordered a special offer gift of flowers from Flying Flowers.com. I chose the delivery date and paid by my debit card.
On the day, I had asked the recipient of the gift to stay home all day. Everytime the phone rang I expected it to be her saying thankyou. By 16.30pm I became a little anxious and rang the customer services dept to see what was going on. I was told to be patient and they would arrive within the two day delivery slot. The next day ... ...did not arrive. I had by now sent an e mail to customer services and have as yet still received no reply. I then rang them, only to be asked if I would like the flowers replacing. Not much use when the birthday had passed. I have requested a full refund and would never use such an unreliable delivery services again. ...

Advantages: Can order online, prices seem reasonable Disadvantages: Poor Customer Service
I recently needed to send my cousin some flowers to thank her for letting us stay in her villa. Anyway, usually I would go via Marks and Spencers or Debenhams, however this time I thought I would try one of the smaller companies and stumbled across Flying Flowers.com. Their prices were reasonable and the various bouquets that they had on offer were beautiful. I decided on a £26.00 bouquet.
I then had to go through the lengthy and dull registration ... ...I had completed all these which took about 2 hours, I was given a user ID. This ID gives you access to your account and also saves having to input details as I had done. However I did not make a note of this ID, big mistake I now realise. I was also told I would receive an e-mail confirmation.
My bouquet was due to be delivered on 6th January 2003, although I had received no e-mail. I spoke to my cousin that evening who had not received the flowers.

Advantages: Very fresh high-quality flowers, attractive bouquets, delivery charge included, low prices. Disadvantages: Over-complex order process, confusing delivery options and names.
Writing this op here on Ciao seems especially appropriate this time because it represents the first purchase which I genuinely made based on a Ciao recommendation- thanks due to Elainebaba, whose op is was I originally read, and most other Ciaoers who have written about this service as I went to check out some other peoples opinions too. Certainly shows that Ciao can genuinely have an effect on peoples buying habits anyway!
After reading Avril’s ... ...which told about the great flowers provided by this company at a reasonable price, it gave me the idea to send some to my grandparents, who were celebrating their 57th Wedding Anniversary this year (57 years of marriage- sounds incredible to me but they still love each other!). I haven’t always had a lot of money, being a useless little waster, and being quite young it’s only fairly recently I’ve been able to buy them many presents, after all the ...
