I recently needed to send my cousin some flowers to thank her for letting us stay in her villa. Anyway, usually I would go via Marks and Spencers or Debenhams, however this time I thought I would try one of the smaller companies and stumbled across Flying Flowers.com.

Their prices were reasonable and the various bouquets that they had on offer were beautiful. I decided on a £26.00 bouquet.

I then had to go through the lengthy and dull registration process, then the delivery details, then payment details. Once I had completed all these which took about 2 hours, I was given a user ID. This ID gives you access to your account and also saves having to input details as I had done. However I did not make a note of this ID, big mistake I now realise. I was also told I would receive an e-mail confirmation.

My bouquet was due to be delivered on 6th January 2003, although I had received no e-mail. I spoke to my cousin that evening who had not received the flowers.

I then rang Flying Flowers.com Customer Services who were less than interested and said that they couldn't help me if I didn't have my customer ID. I refused to believe this and finally my order was brought up on the computers as being delivered. I was then told by the Clerk that the receipients probably weren't in so the flowers will be sitting at a depot somewhere. As you will imagine I was mad about this and demanded some more positive news. After spending ten minutes on the phone to someone who couldn't care less, she said she would check with the courier and get back to me.

I received a call to say that there had been a mix up at the depot and the flowers should be delivered tomorrow, but no guarantees could be made.

Funnily enough I cancelled my order forthwith and demanded a refund. I will never use this company again

Ordered flowers with Marks and Spencers that afternoon and am pleased to say delivered the following day. Should have used them in the first place!!!!

I totally agree with the review. They were unproffessional, unhelpfull and I can only hope they refund me as I made a total stink about their service etc etc. Wish I had know or thought about Marks and Spencer. Will try them in the future. Thanks for the tip!!

I've very seldom had any problems with Interflora when I've wanted to order flowers so I'll probably stick with them. BTW, the helpful rating isn't a criticism of what you wrote - it's just that a potential customer might want to know more about range and prices as well as heeding your warnings. :O)

I've only used these once - not the cheapest, but at least when I ordered they did managed to deliver on time...
