It's separated into two main sections, articles and comparisons. Comparisons take up most of the site but are really the crucial part of it. There are several comparison sites out there but i've found fool to be the best, in particular with regards to choosing particular options that you are really after. 300 credit cards, 8,000 mortgages and 2,000 savings accounts products are amongst the many comparisons made, showing that fool really is a good site.
Amongst the options available, you can search the various products to find exactly what you are after (e.g. how much do you spend a month, do you want a rewards card, etc) or simply there is the lists that have been compiled for your benefit but fool.co.uk. Separated into different categories (i.e. cashback, 0% on balance transfers, overdraft features, etc) the site lists the products that they consider to be the best in that range but also give an outline of the features of the product.
So for example, they consider the best current account in general (obviously it may not be, depending on your own situation) is the Premium Account by Alliance and Leicester and explains what the various features are of the account and with it in list form, you can compare the products so quickly and easily.
As with most comparison websites, companies pay to have particular adverts on the site about their products and these feature at the top of the page but it doesn't influence the lists at all like other sites can do. With most products you also have the opportunity to see more about the product and also apply online in many cases.
With regards to the articles, I really like these, the headlines are often sent through their newsletter so that you can pick and choose which articles you wish to read but they are so good for anyone who wants to be up on current products and money situations. There is also advice through the articles and financial news too. The newsletters are very informative in the sense that it gives you options to read what you want, but doesn't send you 10 articles everytime to bore you to death with.
The layout of the site is really colourful and user friendly with easily distinguishable headers and areas.
There is also a discussion forum for anyone who wants to read about peoples experiences with money or ask particular questions

The Motley fool (otherwise known simply as the fool) is my favourite financial web site. It has the usual ingredients of discussion boards, information on shares and other forms of investment, savings and loans. There is an overall concept to the site which suggests intelligence and vision; the basic theme is that the fool is in fact wise, while the "wise", the finance industry, are the exact opposite. this can be seen in the trenchant articles on ...

Advantages: Looks good, works well Disadvantages: Patronising to some perhaps?
Fool.co.uk is a great site for the average personal investor who needs to keep an eye on financial affairs and goings-on. The site is well set out and easy to navigate. The Ten Steps format includes beginner's guides to such topics as Compound Interest and ISAs - it is excellent and very helpful. The home page allows access to current financial and business developments and the emphasis is firmly on personal finance, a section which includes Mortgages, ... ...well-organised and starts at the very beginning (too much history perhaps?) so that even the most non-savvy of users won't be baffled. One complaint I would make is the insistent conversational tone, 'But hey, you say...' - if this proves patronising, then FT.com would probably suit better as it presumes greater fore-knowledge of the industry. Registration on Fool enables access to all areas including a very well thought out Portfolio section. The ...

...waste time logging on to fool.co.uk - it started well, but has become a dreay collection of nerdy people who just post endless babble - that would not matter, providing it was somehow regulated or kept in specific areas of the boards - but all the message boards are full of babble!
I went to the site wanting investment and financial product advice - like mortgages, credit cards, stocks etc - but I no longer go to the site.
I think it has been taken ...
