I joined upto fortunecity a while back mainly because it offered 100MB and unmetered bandwidth.
I then found that they had pop ups on every page, and everyone knows the most anoying advert is the pop up. so I moved away from them, and now just upload my sites downloads to them. They have ftp and surport JAVA but no CGI or r/w.
Its a good site for those who like a 1" X 4" banner on every page or popups. Its also good if you dont know any HTML as it has a online page ed, but I found that that was limited in choice. They e-mail you about once a week with there newsletter but you can ask to be removed from the list.
Over all there site has a good layout and I found it ok to find my self around.(tho the UK fortunecity was like hell to find my dir the fortunecity.com was the better of the two)
If you have a site with a good reputation dont use fortunecity to host it use terrashare you get payed per 1000 paget hits to your site(for every page of your site that is viewed you get paid for it!) terrashare.com please put jvagames as the site that signed you up thx
