    Freewebs.com provides its users with free web hosting with plenty of features for the beginner and even more if you choose to upgrade to one of their paid packages. I have hosted many of my sites with Freewebs before I started my own hosting company which I've now moved most of my sites to. I have set up two websites using this site and being a bit of a computer novice I have found this website designer service straightforward and easy to use.     I love creating things and putting my pictures on the web and i had just started learning HTML and this seemed like it could be quite fun so i joined(for free!) freewebs is a site were you can get your own website and design, create it for free you can have multiple pages, add ons and also message and link to other freeweb users. signing up is simple you just chose your username(which is also your site address www.freewebs.com/...) then a password then put your e-mail in and a few more basics. then your away. firstly you chose your layout which appears on everyone of your pages(this can be ... more

    Freewebs recently renamed my website to www1.url.com for 3-4 weeks. Then they changed it back to www.url.com. Most of my traffic came from organic search results. Now all the search engines have me indexed as www1.url.com that leads to a 404 error page that I have no control over due to freewebs not allowing .htaccess access. I have been constantly emailing their support(there is no phone support) and receiving a generic "your site works fine" reply three days later.
