Once LimeWire ceased to work unless you have 5.5.10 or a prior edition, I began to look for a different Gnutella peer-to-peer to subsidize my use of Soulseek. Apparently, a lot of people have done this, and the popularity of FrostWire has spiked dramatically since then. It is in many ways very similar to LimeWire, especially the fourth series, and was a deliberate derivation. One of the boons of Frostwire is that you receive results and potential downloads not just from Frostwire, but also LimeWire and BitTorrent.
