Having just decided to have browse through FSAuctions, following a link from the Freeserve homepage, I happened upon exactly the model of TV that I was planning to buy (around next March, that is!). The navigation to get to this point had been relatively easy.

I went off to look at this site and what did I find? I found that it links to ebay. It isn't a separate auction site at all. It's ebay.
Did I say that it is ebay? It's not freeserve any more either - it was wanadoo and now it is Orange.
But it is still a link to ebay
I'm not sure I can find one hundred and twenty words to tell you anything more about this site.
If I want to buy or sell on ebay, then I can do that. How can anyone think that there ...

Advantages: They have almost anything you want Disadvantages: Not so easy to use as other sites
I found this site from a search engine, I was looking for a tiger bangle and was having no luck anywhere else. I found what I wanted almost straight away, it was great and the picture of the item was large and clear. It was easy to made a bid, there was a step by step list of things you need to do, and it told you in easy terms how to bid or sell on their site. I was sent an e-mail within minutes of biding to tell me that I had a winning bid, then ... ...back to me straight away. It was all very new to me, but I found it so easy that I would tell other people who are not sure about bidding on the internet, that it is quick and easy, and a lot of fun at the same time. It is the first time I have used any site to buy on-line, and I would do it again in future. ...

Advantages: Easy to sign up, Lots of products Disadvantages: Reserve prices, too high
I began using Freeserve Auctions about a year ago and really got into it. I am an avid DVD collector and tried to buy and sell on the auction site. Getting past the fustration of people bidding on your item, winning it and then refusing to pay up was hard to handle. Especially when freeserve charge you for the transaction anyway and you have to prove to them that the bidder didn't pay etc.. If you don't mind that then give it a go.....
My only other ... ...for the items. Take DVD's for axample. Some second hand DVD sellers are looking more money for an item than you could purchase it new in the shops. (Sometimes!!)
Watch out for the reserve price!!
The reserve price is where the person selling the item has a 'lowest' price he will except for the item, but many times you don't know it, and when you think your going to get a bargin the auction site tells you that the bid was unsuccessful and you could ...

I have been using the net for many years and have always been into internet auctions - buying. I have however, for the last few months also been selling on FS Auctions. So I can say that FS Auctions is a great auction site in terms of both buyers and sellers.
Buyers:
The site is very well split into various categories and sub sections. The site flows well, and you always seem to find what you are looking for. The best feature is that there is initially ... ...an image, what type of auction is it, etc) before actually clicking through. The search tool on the site is very advanced. You can enter what you want, and it lists the auctions available. I hear you say 'just like a search engine then!'. Well yes, just like a search engine, but with exact results.
Buyers:
Placing an auction is easy and doesn't cost a penney. All you pay, is a % of the profit. Therefore, if your auction doesn't sell, you don't ...

I have only bought from this auction site three times now, but I am very pleased with the results.
you can buy almost anything here from DVD's to Beanies the prices are always really good too.
All you do is click on the section you require and this will take you to a page containing all the items which are up for auction at that time. From there you will be able to check out when the auction finishes what price the item is and sometimes the seller ... ...a look at the goods.
you can check out the seller by e-mailing them with any questions or you can view other buyers ratings on the seller.
You do need to register before you can bid on an item but this is free and is really easy to do, just follow the links on the home page. Once you have placed your bid Freeserve will e-mail you with the confirmation bid number, then you can either check that no-one has out bid you or just sit back and they will ...
