Advantages: Heals nappy rash in a flash Disadvantages: None
BEFORE FULLERS EARTH:

DISCOVERING FULLERS EARTH:
The last day in April, I got my daughter up, went to change her, and again she was extremely sore. This time however, there were no blisters. I took her back to the health visitor. She looked at it and said it looked very sore (which I knew). She said that the Timodene had helped with the blisters but I needed to use something else to help the nappy rash. I have two children, a son who is three and a half, and a daughter who is one. My son suffered from nappy rash a few times but was easy to clear up. My daughter has had many attacks of nappy rash, all of which take ages to clear.
The last time (which has just healed) started just after her first birthday, which was the last week in February. I tried everything in the first 4 weeks, from sudocrem and E45 to Doublebase (a cream prescribed for her sensitive skin). Nothing seemed to work. Instead of it getting better, it started to get worse.
One morning I got her up, and went to change her. She was so sore, that every time I touched her she cried. I took her nappy off and she had blisters on her bottom. So I took her straight to the health visitor, who gave me some "TIMODENE" cream. This had to be kept in the fridge so was always really cold (which she liked because it took the sting away). I used the cream for three weeks and the blisters went, but the severe nappy rash was still there.

I tried three chemists for it, and eventually found it. (I didn’t realise you had to ask over the counter for it!). Anyway, I bought a pot of it and away I went.
As soon as I got home, I changed my daughter and put Fullers Earth on her, and that was that. It didn’t seem to sting, it didn’t smell, it was just a thick cream. At her next nappy change, I was absolutely amazed. Apart from a tiny cut, the nappy rash had completely gone. This “miracle cream” had worked really well and almost immediately. I used it at 9 / 10 nappy changes over the following four days, mainly to prevent any major soreness, because my daughter is teething and so therefore has many dirty nappies. As most of you with children probably know, when they are teething they seem to have one dirty nappy after the other, and so it is inevitable that they are going to get a little sore after this many dirty nappies! I haven’t had to use it at all for the last two days. At the first sign of nappy rash, the cream will be out again.
After using the Fullers Earth, my daughter seemed much happier, and was able to sit down (and be picked up) without it hurting her, which also led to her not crying as much (thankfully).
ABOUT FULLERS EARTH:
Cost: ***** It cost me £1.49 for a 60g pot from a local pharmacy (prices may vary in other chemists).
What is it? ************ It is a mild antiseptic and astringent. “Soothing and protecting the skin”, which it definitely does!
To Use: ******* Simply apply the ointment to the affected areas of skin as required. It is suitable for Adults, the elderly and children.
Ingredients: ********** Kaolin heavy BP 20.76% w/w, Zinc oxide BP 4.5% w/w, Arachis oil (peanut oil), Yellow beeswax (E901), Light liquid paraffin, Hard paraffin, wool alcohols (from lanolin) and Yellow petroleum jelly.
Side effects and precautions: ***********************
There are no known side effects to using this cream. But if you are sensitive to arachis oil (peanut oil), wool alcohols (lanolin) or any of the other ingredients – DO NOT use. It says that there are no likely problems in using this during pregnancy and breastfeeding (if you are using it on yourself). As with any creams etc, if you are unsure always consult a doctor or other health professional (e.g. health visitor) first.
Manufactured by: ************** Thornton + Ross Huddersfield, HD7 5QH England.
My overall opinion: ****************
Although it isn’t specifically just for nappy rash, I would definitely recommend it. It is very cheap, very effective, it doesn’t sting, and it doesn’t smell (some nappy creams smell really bad!). I will definitely use this from now on, and hopefully after putting up with a sore bottom for 9 weeks (this time), my daughter won’t get so sore anymore.
Hope you found this helpful (sorry if it was a bit long!)
Advantages: cheap and not 'stingy' Disadvantages: uhhhh, can't think of any
fullers earth cream was first recommended to me by my grandfather. He used to use it on me when i had severe or 'teething' nappy rash. The cream, available in any chemist and only costing around £1 for a tub has the benefit of being non 'stingy' and seems to have a cooling effect. The magic, if you like, is the speed at which 'wounds' or severe nappy rashes will heal, its amazing, a dose before bedtime can usually result in the rash clearing up before ... ...back the affection of an increasingly stressed and bordering on infanticide mother!!
The cream, or as i remember it, powder, was used extensivly by the military on soldiers to 'mop up' chemical warfare droplets that may have landed on soldiers uniforms rendering it harmless, such is the power of the white powder! as far as i am aware it is still in use in the field with the british army today.
I hope this comes in useful for anyone out there, it ...

Quick review of Fullers Earth Cream
Fullers earth cream works fantastically on acne. My son came off his medication and my father-inlaw told me to get him to cleanse his face with witch hazel then to apply FEC overnight. An improvement was seen after the first application. The red inflamation of the skin caused by the acne disappeared overnight. After a few days there was a significant imprvement to the skin. Now after 3 months of application my sons skin looks almost perfect. You certainly would not know he had ever suffered from acne. Friends and family members are now using the cream and all have commented on the effects. Even the local chemist where I get it from has pased on my sons success wih the cream to other customers. At only £1.49 a pot it really is a miracle cream. Dont worry if it is not on the shelves it can be ordered. Good luck I hope it works for you too! Please leave a review I would be interested to hear it had helped others. ...

...google to find my precious Fullers Earth cream, which i have always found readily available in all good chemists. but to my dismay, nobody seems to be stocking it now, My mum used it on all of her kids, as i did with mine, and my daughter wont use anything but fullers earth on her 10mth old baby, who has never yet had a sore bottom. But it has so many other uses to. .It is a great relieve for thrush or any genetal itching. A friend had told me that ... ...she took my advice on fullers earth, and now like me is great believer , and cannot believe that little jar at approx £1.50 could give such relief, I hope people will read this, and take advise , this cream has been around for over 60years that i know of. Not many other products can claim that ...

Advantages: Starts working immediately Disadvantages: Horrible mustard colour can stain clothing and skin
My 18 month old daughter is forever getting nappy rash even though I use barrier creams such as Sudocream. The slightest thing will set nappy rash off. Teething, a cough or cold, change of diet, nappy being left on too long, nappy too tight or loose, etc. I tried everything including FullerEarthCream and Aqueous cream but nothing worked until I discovered Metanium.
It comes in one size which is a 30mg tube. I know this doesn't sound a lot but it only costs ₤3.30 from Boots and it lasts me approx six months.
Application is easy. Just make sure babies bum is nice and clean and dry then just apply a pea sized amount to the effected area, making sure to rub it in as you should still be able to see babies bum through the cream.
It's a miracle cream as far as I'm concerned as I'd tried loads of cream and ointments all of which ...
