Advantages Fast Affordable well supported services.
Disadvantages Some of on line registration could be a bit slicker
If you want something more than free web hosting but don't want to pay the earth, then I can recommend Ghoulnet.
They are UK based (but I believe they will take customers worldwide), and specialise in hosting, no dial ups.Current prices are £25 UKP for 12Mb 12 months, including domain registration.
They offer a fast reliable service, provide PHP3 & MySQL hosting. We use them as our main provider and have several sites hosted with them, we have been with them for just over a year now and they have provided almost 100% uptime.They also offer server co-location, domain name registration, (just sbout the cheapest in the UK) and also web design services I believe.
