...long distance telephone calls and go bananas has definitely been one of the best around in terms of value for money.
A £5 card purchased from a local shop can go a long way as I have found out.
Before I proceed to discussing the service, I'll tell you a bit about what it looks like.
Well, basically being a phone card its the same size as a credit card though made of a much flimsier plastic. It's also bright yellow and has an image of a banana ... ...of talk time.
However, with Go Bananas I found a £5 card could give me an average of 23 minutes of talk time to Pakistan which was excellent value for money!
I've compared the talk time with various other cards and found that Go Banans definitely gives me the most.
The service is easy to use and as normal you dial the main number and then the special card number followed by the pin number which can be found on the back of each card.

Advantages: Good line and connection quality Disadvantages: inaccurate call charges
Recently, I purchased a £5 go bananas card from my university's union shop.The poster stated that I would get 145 minutes to call to Malaysia.That's definitely a good deal! Without haste,I immediately proceeded to call back home.About 10 minutes into the conversation,there was a warning message informing me that the credit was low.A few minutes later,I was disconnected!What a rude shock!Confused,I called the customer service and was told that I was ... ...the same experience with the go bananas card.Furthermore,go bananas charges a connection fee.In the poster,none of these were mentioned! In fact,'no additional charges' was printed on it! Really,I expected 145 minutes and to be rudely disconnected within 10 minutes is just too much! I could have just called direct via the payphone with £5! What a rip off,especially for a student with a limited budget like me! ...

Advantages: Cheap and practical way to make international calls without being billed Disadvantages: None
...the cards to make as many calls as you like until your credit it used up) You then dial the international number (using the full code, for example 001 for the U.S.A.) When you finish your call you can either hang up or enter ## to continue using your card on the next call. I have found that this is one of the cheapest and most reliable cards I have used (2nd best perhaps goes to 'GoBananas') First National also offer a deal on the Silver (£10) card, where if you use ten u can claim a free card....

Advantages: Excellent coverage and great tariffs Disadvantages: multiple text messaging can result in being a bit costly!
...I cannot praise Orange enough - I have been a customer for two years now and never had any trouble whatsoever. I originally got my Orange phone because most of my friends were on that network and Orange to Orange calls are free in my particular talk plan (Everyday 50) after 7pm and calls to landlines are also free both included in the 50 minutes of call time given everyday for only 50p a day. The reception is always full coverage too - I have never lost a call mid conversation and if I were to lose coverage and I call back I am credited with extra minutes to cover the loss. I believe that Orange provides the best mobile coverage in the UK and would strongly recommend anyone considering buying a mobile phone to go with Orange. Top Banana!...

Advantages: Its the worlds finest Chocolate need I say more Disadvantages: You have to be in San Francisco
...Fudge Brownie Delight, the Chocolate Decadence. My favourites (yes I have a few since they are that hard to choose from) are ;
The Cable Car - Rocky Road, Chocolate Chip and Chocolate Ice Cream with hot fudge sauce, marshmallows, nuts, a cherry and a mini chocolate cable car, or
Strike it Rich - Vanilla ice cream with hot fudge sauce, toasted almond ice cream, butterscotch topping and mock gold nuggets made of almonds not forgetting the cream, nuts and cherry(all optional).
If there is a party of you and or you cant make a decision on what ice cream flavour to choose go for the Earthquake Sundae (approx $20), 8 ice cream flavours and 8 toppings with bananas and the works.
Ghiradelli’s is going to pile on the pounds, but don't let the guilt get in the way of sampling indulgence at its best. If a sundae seems too much, then I...
