On the face of it, this is a great idea. If they're looking at the same site as you then the chance are you share an interest in that topic and you'll find something to talk about. If you want to discuss a point on the site then you can find someone to talk with about it. ...due to lack of users. Whenever I've been using it there have been very few others online, and unless you go to the very popular sites like yahoo.com there is often nobody else at the same site as you. This makes the chat features pretty useless, which is a shame.

Whenever I've been using it there have been very few others online, and unless you go to the very popular sites like yahoo.com there is often nobody else at the same site as you. This makes the chat features pretty useless, which is a shame.
If this program was built into internet explorer, or was just much more widely used, then it would add extra depth to the web and allow everyone to make more friends. Unfortunately in its current state I cannot see it doing much at all.
I'd like to encourage everyone to download it and tell their friends, but I don't think that anyone will hang around long enough to see it get a high enough number of users, so instead I'd say give it a miss

Gooey is an excellent chat tool you can download from the gooey website for free. It allows you to chat to anyone who is viewing the particular website you are at at that moment in time. It is very easy to use and a seperate window which you can adjust the size of informs you of how many Gooey users are at that particular website.
You can chat in open or private, but by far the greatest asset of this tool is that you can make a list of your friends ... ...chat to them no matter what site you are on while you surf, as long as they are connected. You can also forward a message to any other gooey user in the world you may wish to interact with, whether you know them or not, all from your little gooey window. ...

Gooey allows people to chat on the internet very easily, more so than Hotmail instant messages.
When you visit the site you download a chat function and straight away you can talk to anyone viewing thwe site at the same time as you, making it much more personal than the general chat sites such as Dobedo.com.
As usual you get to talk to everyone or you can pick out someone and have a personal converstaion. The only bad thing about doing this is ...
