My boyfriend wanted to recommend me to Great Universal and I was keen to become a customer of theirs. I looked through his catalogue and saw a few things I was interested in. Then on the 27th November I ordered something over the net with them for him. He wanted a bed set for Christmas and chose one out of the catalogue. So I out the order through and had confirmation my order had been received and would be with me shortly. Waited 2 weeks and ...
...had received my order or not. Advised them no not yet and she said that it would be with me in a couple of days so I said ok then thank you. I have not received it so I checked on their website at the delivery details/tracking my order and it said my details were not recognised and I thought that is strange. My Sony VAIO Laptop supplied by Great Universal was defective straight from the box. Even though Sony admit there is a fault, Great Universal have refused to accept its return (even though statutory rights say you have the right to reject defective goods and cancel any contract). The Customer support has been very poor, with non-returned phone calls, non-answered e-mails etc In short they have been an absolute nightmare. The case is still going ... Read review

I find this site very easy to use. If you have a catalogue at home like I do, you can sift through it and write down your catalogue numbers, then enter them on the order form online. Easy peasy! Or you can browse the site to see if any of the items have been reduced. The sections are clearly marked, e.g womens, mens, home etc. They also usually have a sale section online which is good - nice to see if you can get a bargain. I live in a rural area ... Read review

Disadvantages: I have found by ordering online that more often than not when wanting goods for comission it never happens, I have ring after to do this

I have been an agent of many catalogues in the past and I have always found and come back to great universal. I have found it so much easier recently to buy online, browsing through the catalogue at my leisure and actually buying things that I would'nt have before.
