I can't remember how I came across the site to be honest with you. Probably something to do with my bored lunchtimes in an office which is in the middle of nowhere. Anyway.
It isn't a really catchy website name, and I would suggest that if you decide that you want ... Read review
Advantages: easy to use, books removed after 6 months Disadvantages: none
I came across this site after someone mentioned it on www.moneysaivngexpert.com It's basically a site where you can buy and sell books. I have used this site for a few years now and think it's great. I mainly use it to sell book and, as yet, I haven't bought a book from the site although I envisage that I will do so within the next few months. I have been a member of the site for a couple of years now and use the site for selling books. I haven't, ... ...envisage that I will do so within the next few months. Listing a book to sell is really easy. All you have to do is log in (you need to create an account to use the site). Once you've done this you enter the ISBN number of the book you want to sell, this is above the bar code on the back of the book. Once you've done this then all the other relevant details appear. These just need checking, if anything is different then there is a notes box so you ...

Advantages: buying and selling books for set fees Disadvantages: not as well known as similar sites
I like books, in fact some would say Im as addicted to reading as I am to drinking with my mates on a friday and jumping in to cold water on a Saturday.
Greenmetropolis is a website I found after reading a review, a site, I was told which would allow me to buy books for a mere £3.75 with free postage, preforming the function of not only feeding my book addiction but stopping me spending all my time waiting in the supermarket for the newly released ... ...my local Asda usually restocks about 11pm Monday night, and Tesco an hour or so later) and given the recent 'price hike' would now be a cheaper source of my reading material. But surely we already have amazon with its attatched market place for this reason? How does greenmetropolis make itself any different? Some parts of the review might read as a comparison between the two sites. The layout of the site is pretty easy to navigate, there are a series ...

Advantages: cheap, customer support excellent Disadvantages: may have to wait for some titles, some sellers may be slow to deliver
Being an avid reader, there is no way I could buy all the books I read, as I'd be permanently broke! While I do make weekly trips to my local library, there is sometimes a book I'm just dying to read but don't want to pay full whack for.
Enter Green Metropolis. The basic idea of the site is that you can either join as a seller, a buyer, or both. *HOW IT WORKS*
To sell on the site, you create an account (for free) and list the books you want to ... ...and selecting the condition which best applies. Advantages: Easy to navigate web site, reliable service, get paid for old books Disadvantages: Postage costs
As an avid book reader my house appears to be constantly cluttered with books, the good ones I keep, the bad ones go to charity & the ones in between are meant to go to charity but remain in the house.
I was listening to Steve Wright's show on Radio 2 way back in late 2003 & his web site of the day was www.greenmetropolis.com a site owned by the Woodland Trust. Their objectives are to recycle books & thus reducing the amount of trees being cut down ... ...you to register with them, list your books on their web site; if someone wants to buy a book the buyer pays £3.75. a donation goes to the Woodland Trust & the £3.00 to the seller. Once the buyer has finished reading it they then place it back on the web site ready for the next buyer.
With 50-60 books cluttering up my house I quickly registered with them giving them my bank account details. You would think listing books on a web site would be a laborious ...
