As a teenager, I'm always looking for new interesting chatrooms and things to do on the net. There's ciao, of course, facebook, bebo, myspace etc. but Habbo Hotel is something different.
Personally, I love it because I can meet new people from all around the world and can go on it any time I want. You can be any one you want to be-but sometimes this is the problem. Young children may pretend to be older so that they can acces Habbo Hotel and older adults may pretend to be younger to befriend kids. However, this risk occurs with all chatrooms and the parents should keep an eye on what their child is doing.
On Habbo Hotel you have the freedom to design a character, dress it how you want and even design your own private room. In the public rooms you're watched by administrators and can talk to anyone you want to. It's good that swearing and hotmail addresses are banned for the benefit of young children but sometimes it can get really annoying.
As much as Habbo is a brilliant site with loads to do and explore, the competition from 3D virtual sites like Second Life may be getting to much. But it will always be one of my favourite sites and I recommend it to people of all ages.
