The chat room is aimed at teenagers around the world. The current population for habbo is 118 million users however this is the latest figure taken from June 2008 and their is on average 8 million unique visitors monthly and 75,000 avatars being created everyday.

The first time I starting using the habbo hotel was about 4 years ago in 2005 I found the website to be very user friendly and good fun. In a nutshell habbo hotel is a chat room however instead of a boring text based chatroom where you type and can chat to other users in a very boring text only format. In the habbo hotel when you first start you make an avatar and you can walk around the hotel visiting different hotel rooms while chatting to other users.

Upon first logging in you get to create your avatar you get to choose the features of your avatar and it's almost like a sims way of customizing your avatar you can make your avatar look like yourself or as the internet is a anonymous place you can make your avatar look like anything you want it to.

The hotel has lots of rooms their are public and private rooms. Their are rooms that are made by habbo these are rooms such as bars, gaming rooms, restaurants and swimming pools. They are only a little account of the rooms created by habbo. The rest of the rooms are created by the users and the possibilities are endless of the what type of room you can make you can just make a room and keep it blank and boring with nothing in it and then you can go and stand in your room you can do that if you wanted to. However you can join many user crated rooms and as I said the possibilities are endless and to name a few of the rooms their are gaming rooms, trading rooms, schools, mazes etc lol the list goes on and on.

The way to customize your room is that you can spend money in habbo and buy credits can be used to buy furni and a hole sorts of things to customize your room. However as I said this costs money and I don't recommend that you buy credits as I did this as first and I got addicted in buying credits and wanting to make my rooms better and better.

As I said I joined habbo hotel first in 2005 and then played for a few weeks then I quit when I got bored and then just recently I have logged back into my account and have started to play again but to be honest I have gotten bored quickly of it.

Overall the habbo hotel is a great place to hang out and meet new people their are a few people their who try and ruin the fun for everyone else but you can block them so that they can not bother you so that they can not contact you and you can not contact them. I found habbo to be the best when I was playing it with real friends who I knew in real life but we soon got bored of it and left it quickly.
