I looked through the Haburi web site in February and decided to buy some clothes as they had some interesting ones at very good prices. I ordered over £40 as then you got free shipping, which I thought was worthwhile.

It was very easy to order, although as I was choosing, some of the items I had put in my basket were removed as other people had bought them and they went out of stock, which was a little strange!

I put the order through and completed it. They said that no money would be taken from my account until they were shipped. Later on that same day, I changed my mind and decided to cancel my order. There was no facility on the web-site to cancel an unshipped order, so I had to write an e-mail requesting that they cancel it off. It stated that they would answer emails in 2 days, so I thought that should be long enough for them to read it and get back to me. 4 days later the money came out of my account and I had still had no response from Haburi.

I sent another email to Haburi asking if they would reply and I still received no response. Some time later I received my goods. I decided that 3 items were too small and so needed to return them. I would have to pay for this mailing, even though I had asked them well before to cancel the order. I completed all the forms correctly and sealed the box. The information sent said I would receive a full refund if goods were unworn and returned to them within 14 days. I sent them well within this time.

To this date (24/04/03) I still have received none of my refund of about £30. I have consistently written to Haburi, and I mean a lot of emails! They have not replied to a single one, and now I am at my wits end as to what to do. They definately owe me money and have consistently treated me with the most terrible customer service I have ever encountered.

My advise to other people is not to bother with them really. No amazing discount is worth the way they are treating me. It is a very simple thing to do to receive the goods I sent and then transfer my money back into my account, but they don't seem to be able to do it.

Sorry to hear about what happened to you with haburi. My news is that they have gone out of business. The originally Danish company is now owned by a German Group and has just reopened its website.

I've found a few similar site's to 'cause problems, I'm not sure if it's ignorance to customer needs or poor management - you should get on the phone to Watchdog! Benn
