I visited halfpriceorless.co.uk after seeing it listed in the Christmas shopping section and very surprised I was! I thought it was going to be a badly designed site with a few tacky bits and bobs to buy and not much more. I was totally wrong. Halfpriceorless has quite a lot of decent products for you to buy at either half price or less, hence the name.

The Site is very easy to use. All the sections on the site (food, clothing, home etc) are all arranged into aisles, just like shops. Click on an aisle and you will get all the sub sections laid out across the top of your window. The products are laid out underneath all with pictures and the price, including the r.r.p price so you can see the saving that you are making. To view the products you have to scroll across the page, a bit like a conveyor belt to see what else they have on offer. Everything is very clear and easy to use. If you decide you like one of the products, click on it and you will get an extra description about the product, if you want to go on to buy it, you just click the ‘add to basket’ button then carry on shopping.

So, you’ve got a few items in your shopping basket (and believe me, you will have a few items after going through the site!). The ‘invoice’ shows you the amount of money your items cost and the amount of money you are saving. In my case, I had about 20 items in my basket totalling £18. I had saved £60 just by buying those few products! Ordering is very easy, all they require is your address and credit card number, so theres no registration process to go through. They say they aim to deliver in 4 days and delivery costs £2.99 in the mainland UK. One catch about the delivery though. They say that they will deliver any amount of products for £2.99, but if it goes over 2 boxes, they have the right to charge an additional delivery fee.

Overall this site is great for Christmas shopping. Yes, some of the stuff does look a bit tacky, but a lot of it is branded items like shampoo etc. I know what your thinking, you can get 2 for 1 in most stores on shampoo’s, but if you hunt hard enough, you will find branded shampoo’s etc for 99p instead of the r.r.p price of £2.99 so that’s basically 3 for 1. The food and drink section is also pretty good and prices are very good, but there is one thing to look out for. Some of the products may be very close to their sell by date, so if your looking to stock up on a few items, check the sell by date first!

Well worth a visit and I doubt you will be able to leave the site without buying something!

Delivery arrived in two days of ordering and all the items were of a very high standard. I was expecting tatty boxes, but no, everything looked like you had just taken it off the shelves yourself!

This is an excellent service and i'm already back on the site looking for yet more bargains!
