I also recommend using Hawaiian Tropic Cucumber Melon Soothing Aloe Vera after sun gel. It soaks into the skin really quickly, cools your skin down, and keeps it soft after your tanning session, which prolongs the great tan you have been working on. For the two together, you can expect to pay around £14. You might have to resort to eBay or online shops to find it, however.
I don't tan well, I actually have quite pale skin, but I wanted to "train" my skin to absorb more of the suns rays safely but fast.
I actually bought Spray Oil SPF 15 to start with, and used that for a while, then as my skin got darker over a period of about 2 weeks, I started to use this. It glides on really nicely and the sun soaks it up really quickly. It has a nice sheen and you tan much quicker when you are wearing this oil because it absorbs infrared rays.
Just apply it whenever you feel your skin is drying out in the sun, and your skin will be soft and supple and smell SO nice while slowly becoming more golden.
The scent is very coconutty, but also fruity and tangy at the same time. Nuts is very prominent though. It's a very nice scent.
The oil is water resistant, non-greasy and you don't have to wash your hands after applying it.
