I have been using hemscott.com for nearly two years now, and you cannot fault them with the vast amounts of information that they give you per organisation on the stock exchange, wether it is on the 100 index or the 250 index. At the moment they are advising which are the best companies to invest into for one months free trial. After the trail, it cost £10 per month or £99 a year, but that might sound a lot, but with the advise that they have given, you would have already made your money. One of the companies were ottacker's book stores, and its share price was 55p at the end of December 2000, now they are £1.20 (approx), yet hemscott have announce to sell half your shares. This is basically because you can reclaim what you put into the company, whilst the rest of the investment is shear profit.
You can find any information about any company. These are;
- Recent press releases - Rate of dividends that are being paid - Share price movement over the past 3/5/10 years which shows the share price adjusted for capital changes, share price movement relative to the FT-SE all share index, and the share price movement relative to the company's sector - Financial information - Order a company prospectus - get upto date emails on your company portfolio on a dialy basis - and many more advantages about companies in every sector
I look at a lot of things before investing, but what I do like about this web site is that this information is totally free, unlike with most other financial organisations where you would pay hefty amounts of money to obtain.
I would advise that before you make any investment on the stock exchange, check out this web site first. You can gain valuable information at no cost and if you use them by subscription, which is not very much, you can make a serious living off shares.
If you find a company that you are looking at investing into, hemscott have a daily share price movement. It say that it gets updated every 15 mins, but in fact it is every 30 mins (for non subscribers, 15 mins for subscriber), and then once the 30 mins has came round to being updated, the share price is slow at comming through. If you are interested at checking out share prices, check out teletext as that is a more relaible form.
