This website is dedicated to almost all the different public holidays imaginable! It gives you a list of holidays, and their origins and meanings. Click on a holiday of your choice, ie, Mother's Day, and it will go into great detail of the story behind Mother's Day, celebrating Mother's Day, goodies, holiday crafts etc.
For the month you are in, it will list the daily, weekly and monthly celebrations going on. For instance, on 26 April it will be "Remember your first kiss day", and "Hug an Australian day". It also has the more serious and well-known public holidays like Ramadan, Christmas and Father's Day.
You can send greetings cards such as birthday, wedding, anniversary and missing you cards. And holiday cards for that particular month.
Holidays travel gives you deals on airline tickets, hotels and car rentals. The website has also joined forces with a number of retailers to offer you selections on CD's, books, videos, DVD's, toys, flowers and speciality gifts.
There is also holiday crafts, recipes and colouring pictures. Choose a holiday of your choice, and it will give you step-by-step instructions on how to make things, food, and print out pictures for either yourself or child to colour in!!
Use the 'holiday search' to look for a particular holiday, and view holiday dates in Spring, Summer, Autumn (fall), and winter. I say fall, because it's an American based website, so many of the holidays you may not of heard of.
