Advantages: It gives some common sense advice Disadvantages: The companies who want to hire homeworkers don't seem to know this site exists
...A friend recommended homeworking.com a few months ago and I went to have a look. Unfortunately I didn't find it as useful as the other 'ciaoers' in this section. Here's what I thought:- The best part about this site is its address. Easy to remember. This is a small site presumably run by a family or group of friends. It is not updated especially often, the style is very basic, but that has its advantages, everyone including your granny can use it ... ...This whole site is free. It acts as a forum where homeworkers and employers can meet. It is free to join and get your own e-mail address. For the information side of homeworking it can be quite useful. It does explain the very basics, most of it being common sense but still sometimes we need to be told that there is no such thing as a get rich scheme. It tells you about stuffing envelopes etc. I would expect from a site like this a rather large number ...

Advantages: Very good on giving a wide range of material on homeworking Disadvantages: forum a bit quiet
Some of us thrive in the fast lane of work, where nothing less than getting up early in the morning and getting trapped with the rest of the commuters rushing to work will do. Well maybe not because given half the chance l think most of us would be quite happy to get up and armed with a coffee and maybe a bit of brekkie start their day in an office in their own homes.
The problem of this is most of us don’t know exactly what it takes and will ... ...win the lottery (fat chance of that happening)
Anyway thanks to some people who know that there is limited material out there to help people wanting to work from home they have set up a website called “homeworking.com”.
This site has an easy to read start up page which gives you clear instructions for people using it for the first time and lets you take a tour around their site without having to register. It covers all topics that home ...

Advantages: Good information on working from home, links to other sites Disadvantages: Doesn't provide any work, just information
Homeworking.com is an excellent site with loads of information about working from home.
Those of you who have read a few of my opinions will probably know that shortly after moving house, hubby lost his job - so it's no wonder that I'm actively searching the net to try and find something I can do from home to bring in some much needed dosh.
Although homeworking.com doesn;t actually provide any work itself, it's a great site with loads of information. ... ...check out that potentially money-earning get-rich-quick scheme and see what it;s really like.
There's a very handy section on debt - giving advice on who you should pay first, letters to write to creditors etc etc.
As well as this, there's a section on ideas for setting up your own business from home, the pros and cons and how to go about it.
There are links to other sites, some of which do provide work for people to do at home, but the best thing ...

Advantages: Easy to navigate site with highly informative content Disadvantages: Can't really fault it!
I have been looking at a number of homeworking sites over the past few months and this is by far the best that I have seen. It is an excellent resource / community site for anyone working or intending to work from home.
You can search the site for a wide number of ways of gaining home-work or advertise your own services to prospective employers. It is a great site for those who are just starting up or new to homeworking, particularly since it highlights ... ...is well laid out and navigation is easy. There is a main index and quick tour which highlights the key features of the site. Some of the sections are still in development - but the site should mature over time, and it is updated daily.
I would make it my homepage if I worked from home!! ...

Advantages: Good advice Disadvantages: All advice and no jobs
As a full time mum, I have been on the lookout for a job that can be done from home for quite some time now and so having become a Ciao member, I'd thought I'd check out what other members have to say on the subject.
I worked as a secretary before having my kids I have carried out endless searches on the net for jobs involving typing which could be done at home so it was inevitable that I came across Homeworkers.com as other Ciao members have. I've ... ...the site has proven useful with providing loads of information on how to avoid falling into the pitfalls of 'fake' jobs which always claim you'll make your first million from but don't actually tell you how you'll do it. The web site seems to be a great believer in 'being your own boss' and starting up your own little business empire but what is there to do? I'm not the sales type and don't have cash for starting up a business - if I did, I wouldn't ...

***Background***
My son is doing really well with his reading since he started his first year at school last summer but his handwriting can sometimes be a bit messy so anything that can help him get his scrawl under control is useful to us.
