Full review

Welcome to my review about an email that I use it is hotmail.com, in this review you will find out about the versions, how to use it, what colours can you put for your mail and many many more. Lots of people use windows live hotmail, and I use it too, so I thought to write about it, I've been with windows live hotmail for years. So I should know enough to tell you about the site. I have two emails and I both use them for writing messages to my friends, signing up for sites, everything actually. Windows live Hotmail is easy to use you can find everything what you want to do except two things there isn't the button mark as read and you can't know if you have completed this survey, but you can know if you replied to the message. Windows live hotmail has lots of interesting things which I can write about. In my last review I started writing about manutd.com. Manutd.com is in the Internet section and I now I'm glued to the internet section in free email.

===Signing up===

all you need to do is go to sign up and you need to write your email then you need to check its availability, if it's available you can't create it you need to make your email address with another name or you can put a number with the email address so that you can create it, the second step is to write your password then you need to retype your password. After that you need to write your name, surname, our birth year country/region, constituent and postal code. When you do all of that you have to Type the characters you see in the picture and you're done but you have to press I agree then it writes working, and your done! Then you need to choose which version the versions are full or classic, I chose the full version. Then widows live hotmail will send you a message saying that you have joined the site, they say Hello and Welcome to Windows Live Hotmail and msn show you how to use your email like Easily import contacts, Your mail, your look and Wait, there's more the last bit of the message is that you are a hotmail member that's why they sent the message, if you want to learn more go and read their Privacy Statement, that's what they said in the message. If you want to ask questions or need information regarding to your account you should visit windows live help. Then they will send messages about how to move your contact like from yahoo to windows live hotmail, their title for it is Bring 'em over, it's quite good but they could have made it better. At some point they will send you windows live spaces, the windows live spaces is like your registered information and pictures.

===Versions===

The versions are full version and classic version, I prefer the full version because it has got more sections, it's easier to send emails, it has got more complicated things. If you have the full version when you want to send a message you just need to write the letter of the email address and all your contact start like with the letter m and their name, the person that you are sending the message to their name doesn't have to start with m, the important thing is the email. If you have the classic version when you have to send a message you need to go to their name or email and press it and when you want to move something you need to click on the arrow, it's moved or you can create a folder and name it, so you can store messages. The full version is the same but its arrow is better looking and when you want to check your email you can click check mail or inbox, in the classic version you can only click inbox to check your email. If you have the classic version you can change it to the full version and if you have full version you can do the same thing but different version. In both versions you can send an email from another email and it's your email, you need to write the hotmail members email if it's your email you can and if it's somebody's email you can and your email, they send you a message then you can send messages from your email but different email. In the full version you can change the reading pane to the right (which is a small box for me but you can make it bigger, not as big as the nor mail inbox, nearly), the bottom (actually it's at the top, but they wrote it bottom, also you can make it bigger and smaller) and off (off is the normal pane, you can't make it bigger or smaller) so I chose the bottom pane.

===Themes===

In all emails they have to put themes, in windows live hotmail the colours are the windows live colour, blue, red, black, silver, pink, green, purple and orange. When you create your email you will have the windows live colour (which is blue, but darker), then you can change it I chose two colours for my two emails, they are orange for number one and silver for number two. The new, reply, reply all, forward, delete, junk, print, previous message and next message, move to and check mail toolbar is silver (or orange, any colour you choose) and the windows live button, the home button, spaces, onecare(anti-virus program) and msn (which is home) is also the same colours. The colour blue isn't that good because it's too dark, if it was brighter then I would choose it (I bet that boys would choose this colour), green is my favourite colour but I didn't like it (it's too dark) the same thing like blue, silver this type of colour I like (I think this makes it more attractive, because it's very light, and I like light colours, black CRAP! Sooooooo dark it makes my email look bad, and on the clothes it doesn't show if it's dirty. I don't like pink but lots of girls like the colour but I don't, purple my community level colour, not too bad, the last colour is orange and that was the colour that I put for my email and people that I know who are orange, and it's light so I liked the colour.

===Writing Letters to people===

Writing Letters to people is sooooooo simple you just need to press new and you get a blank page if it's the full version you need to do the same thing but you need to choose one of these new message, new contact, folder or group, you need to press new message, then you will write a message, it's like Microsoft word or WordPad because you can change the colour, make it bold, italic and underline, and you can do spell check, in the classic version you need to press spell check and the full version the spell check is on, but the bad thing is that they don't have numbers for the size, they only have extra small, smaller, normal, large, larger, extra large and largest. Also another bad thing for the font style they only have these Tahoma, Arial, Arial black, verdana, times new roman, Garamond, Lucida hand writing and courier new. Some of the font styles I don't even know about them these are the font styles that I don't know anything about them, maybe they're good they are Garamond, Tahoma, Lucida hand writing and courier new. I tested the font styles and here is my opinion of them Garamond doesn't look that good, Tahoma looks really good, Lucida hand writing is excellent and courier new is very bad, most of them were good but the courier new and the Garamond disappointed me because they were too dull, but the Lucida handwriting looks very good and attracting.

===Windows live spaces===

In windows live spaces you can put anything you want in it like pictures, and there is your registered information you can change whatever you want, and you can put any picture which is really good you don't have to put your own picture, you can see when you joined the site, and when you put a picture you can click the button web appearance or messenger appearance or social then it will appear (sometimes my picture didn't appear). You can change your password, question or alternate email (any email you want). You can link accounts if you have two emails you don't have to click sign out and sign in it makes it simpler. Also there is windows live shared profile; people can see your profile online. Windows live services is to see your accountManage your Windows Live ID account., windows live gallery, windows live hotmail, alerts, admin center Free e-mail for your Internet domain. , event, expo, family safety from onecare favourites, feedback for hotmail, gallery, hotmail, live search, live search maps, mail, messenger is used to chat to people onecare, spaces, toolbar, windows live for mobile Access your Windows Live services from any mobile device. And writer easily publishes pictures, videos, and other rich content to your blog...

===Messenger===

In windows live messenger you can chat to people if they are online, you can make yourself busy, be right back, away, on the phone, out to lunch or appear offline, the person that you are talking to can still talk to you, if you put appear offline you can still talk to the person, and it says this person appears to be offline at the top of you window, and it says you have currently set your status to appear offline, or something like that, when you are away you can do the same thing , if you shut down the computer you will be automatically offline , and when that person sends you the message they will say The following message could not be delivered to all recipients: so that message that you sent the person didn't receive your message, out to lunch is when you are going to eat your lunch, and also you can talk, and the same for all the other ones. You can check your email from the messenger and you can see if the person has got a picture probably a duck! And I would put a Bentley, Ferrari, Lamborghini or Mercedes Benz; I don't like having no pictures on the messenger lol, so I have put ones of those cars or any picture, in sites if you can put any picture, I wouldn't leave it with no picture, it would be sooooooo dull, if there are sites like ciao which wouldn't let you put any picture it's ok and ciao is sooooooo addicting, so it doesn't matter. If a person is off line or online you can send messages from outlook express, I wish it could be better. If you don't want to talk to a person you can easily block him (her), you can't talk to them and I can't talk to him unless I unblock him (or her). To block the person is when you've opened a window, there's a button that says block, press it and you can't talk to him, to unblock him (her) you need to do the same thing, but the button says unblock. Then you can talk to him and he can talk to you. When you side-click on the persons email or name you will get a list it is send an instant message, start a voice conversation, start a video conversation, send a file or photo, send email to ( your friends email, your friends email will be written in brackets), ask for remote assistance, start application sharing, start whiteboard, block, copy contact to, move contact to, remove contact from group, delete contact, properties, the contacts properties are sign in name(which is the persons email), status: not online, service NET messenger service and email. You can only click on these when the contact is online here they are send an instant message, start a voice conversation, start a video conversation, send a file or photo, send email to, start application sharing and start whiteboard. These buttons I can't on them they are move to, copy to, and remove contact from group, maybe because I haven't made a group before, I thinks that's not letting me click these buttons. The delete contact is sooooooo simple you need to press delete and then they will ask you are you sure that you want to delete this contact from your contact list? You need to answer yes or no. when the person is blocked you can only know if he's online and that's it.

===Newsletters===

When you first sign in you will get the today page, in the corner there is a button it is get newsletters, you will get an option of what do you want hotmail to send messages to you, do you want the newsletters are about they are msn money (this is what they have written Get an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at what's going at MSN Money. Conclusion

Overall I think that this site is excellent for messaging, and sometimes the newsletters aren't that good, I think they send too much messages and some of the messages are rubbish but msn weight loss and msn health have really good information and gives you how to loose weight and you can calculate your BMI, I would rate this site nine out of ten because the signing up is sooooooo simple, the windows live spaces, windows live messenger, writing messages to people is sooo simple anyone could know how to do that, the messenger makes the site excellent and many other stuff.

Blowing hot or cold?
Review of hotmail.com by TheDuke

Advantages: Roaming access, no/little downtime
Disadvantages: Slow connctions, spam,

There can't be too many internet users who haven't heard of Hotmail. Microsoft's free web-based email system has been around for years and has its fair share of supporters and detractors. I've had more than a few Hotmail accounts over the years since I went online which have been used for a variety of reasons. The main reason a Hotmail account was created at all was to protect my own personal email account from spam. By using a free web-based email ...
...chosen any web-based email for this purpose and Hotmail aren't the only people who offer such a system - you can get one from YAHOO or Lycos, for example. In fact, the reason I chose Hotmail over anything else was the fact that it was simply the most famous - the decision (which was made over four years ago!) was not based on anything such as site features, inbox size or any other criteria you might have expected. Signing up with Hotmail is simplicity ... Read review

A lovely little free email
Review of hotmail.com by emmamanchy

Advantages: Fast,reliable and fun.
Disadvantages: Too many junk emails sent to you

I have had my Hotmail Email account for two years now,infact i have 2 accounts.I've always been quite pleased with the level of service and speed of arrival of incoming mail.I only really have one gripe about Hotmail which led me to my decision to open another account.When i opened my first account i was very much an 'Internet virgin',i really had no knowledge online and i had to learn as i went so i used the very simple and easy to remember username/email ...
...mistake this had been when i was receiving all manner of spam including Porn links,Weight loss ads,book club offers,VIAGRA!(Do i look like a bloke?) and other crap on a daily basis which accounted for about 90% of the space i had.I was receiving about 90 spam Emails per day and it was of course all because of my simple to figure out Email address.OK, i'll now get down to the features of this FREE service. Does exactly what it says on the tin
Review of hotmail.com by Solex

Advantages: Is a quick and easy way to E-Mail
Disadvantages: Its very hard to get a correct username!

I only joined the vast community that is the sacred net. No longer the home of geeks and hermits, the WWW. world is welcome to anyone with a phone line and to be honest deep pockets (the company pays for ours, much to their annoyance). But prices are falling. But like the title, this isn’t about the net itself. I’d be here for ages otherwise! Nope. This is an op about MSN Hotmail.com. Check Your Mail in Less Than a Minute
Review of hotmail.com by mailmekm

Advantages: Read opinion.
Disadvantages: Read opinion.

Hotmail is a site all about communication. Its main feature is a free e-mail account available to anyone on the internet. **Layout & Design** The main page is kept very simple. It is divided into town halves. The left hand side is dark blue. At the top, there is the MSN logo, of a colourful butterfly. Next to this, it says 'Hotmail' in white print. Good features, but lacking on space
Review of hotmail.com by jamesadyson

Advantages: Good selection of features, and even advanced users are catered for
Disadvantages: Limitations on attachment size and account size. Also difficult to get a meaningful username

I first came across the Hotmail free email service last year, and I have been a member ever since. I followed the rather lengthy registration process, which asks you the usual array of questions regarding where you live in the world, and also tries to encourage you to signup to various “Junk mail” providers. These are definitely worth skipping. Unlike most people I have spoken to, I was also able to get a meaningful username, instead ...

With its newly revamped design, the Hotmail site itself is now very feature heavy, something which more professional users with appreciate. The service supports the usual POP mail forwarding, which is very useful if you have ISP accounts which you want to check while away from home or on the move. The site is still quite slow, but not anywhere near as bad the snail pace I got ... Read review
