I have had my HotmailEmail account for two years now,infact i have 2 accounts.I've always been quite pleased with the level of service and speed of arrival of incoming mail.I only really have one gripe about Hotmail which led me to my decision to open another account.When i opened my first account i was very much an 'Internet virgin',i really had no knowledge online and i had to learn as i went so i used the very simple and easy to remember username/email address of 'Emma23' DOH!.I soon found out what a huge mistake this had been when i was receiving all manner of spam including Porn links,Weight loss ads,book club offers,VIAGRA!(Do i look like a bloke?) and other crap on a daily basis which accounted for about 90% of the space i had.I was receiving about 90 spam Emails per day and it was of course all because of my simple to figure out Email address.OK, i'll now get down to the features of this
FREE service.
Hotmail is by far one of the best email service's around and it has quite well extended user options including..
INBOX
This is where you will receive all your emails,it is simple to use,all you do is click once on the email to view and read it.Here you have many options after reading the said email,you can forward the email onto a friend,reply to the email,delete the email or put it into another folder.All these options have a simple easy to click button above the Email message.
COMPOSE
Composing(Writing) an email is very simple indeed.Here you also have many options including a HTML bar that will let you cut,copy and paste text into the email,add a paragraph,pick your font style,font size,font colour and background colour.You can even have you fonts(Words) in italic,bold and underlined.You can insert links and Hotmail emotions i.e kisses,smiley faces hearts flowers and many more by clicking on the smiley face .There is also an option called 'Tools' that allows you to use a spell checker,dictionary and thesaurus.After writing your email simply type in the email address of the person you want to send it to(Don't bother with the Cc or Bcc thing) type in the subject of your email(If you want to as it's optional).you can add attachments to your email by clicking on..Add/Edit Attachments,then you can browse you computer files for anything you want to put in the email.Before you send the email you can click the little box that says"Copy message to sent folder" to get a copy of your own,you can also save a draft.now if your ready you can click on 'Send'.All these options are easy to use,just click on the buttons available.
ADDRESS BOOK
The address book is also very simple to use ,here you can add names to your list,edit names that you no longer need,send mass mail by clicking the box next to every person you want to send the 1 email to.

Blocking sender is a very good feature,especially where spam mail is concerned but you can only block about 150 emails so i urge you to pick an unusual email address that cannot be easily guessed as this will greatly reduce the amount of junk you receive

Getting a hotmail is very easy,just go to msn.com and sign up for your free passport that will allow you to access Email,chat, and a free member profile.all you have to do is give them details such as address,date of birth age.country,choice of password and email address are totally yours(Unless it's already taken by another member).
It' a very fast and reliable service that also has an in-built checker that scans any attachments sent to you for any viruses that may have been sent(But still be very very careful anyway).This is the only email i have ever used as it's uncomplicated and has all the features i need for daily use.I suggest anyone who hasn't got this should give it a try,even if you only want to use it as a back up account to you outlook express.

Advantages: Good selection of features, and even advanced users are catered for Disadvantages: Limitations on attachment size and account size. Also difficult to get a meaningful username
