This site was formally known as www.amihotornot.com, but is now www.hotornot.com, so thats why the link you've been trying hasn't been working!

The way it works is that you submit your photo to the site to be rated by other users. When someone views your photo they have a choice of rating it from 1-10 on good looks by using the rating meter above each photo. After a certain amount of views, your average rating is calculated, which determins whether you are hot or not.
If you feel at any stage that your picture you submitted yourself wasn't one of your best and you want to change it, then this is not a problem.
The process of submitting a photo however, usually takes a few days from the time you submitted it, to the time you will be able to view it when you log in.

Below the picture of each person you will be able to see how many days it has been since they last logged in to check their score. Each picture also has a number next to it, showing you how many times it has been rated.
Obviously being a man you wouldn't want to be rating pictures of other men would you? and visa versa (unless your gay of course). So you can customise who you rate by using the drop down menu. You can choose whether to rate 'men and women', 'men only', or 'women only'. You can then also choose the following age ranges; 'of any age', 18-25, 26-32, 33-40 and 'over 40'.

One anoying problem with the site is that it is terribly slow, which can often be frustrating. The pictures normally take a while to load and the traffic going to the site makes matters even worse, as it is usually high.
It is sometimes anoying when you have to rate a picture that is so poor quality or so small that you can't see it properly. These ones usually get rated a 5 in my opinion. There are some people i have seen with a rating of over 9.5 (the fit birds) and some less than 2 (the ugly ducklings).
That's the funny thing about the site, as you would think that most people would have decent pictures on there, but there are some REALLY ugly ones, which usually get a rating of 1 or 2 if they are lucky.

The rules state that no pornographic photos will be published or any cartoon or celebrity photos acting as yourself. You also cannot rate yourself! (cos thats cheating).

So don't keep asking yourself this question in your head, go to the site, submit your photo and put yourself out of suspense.
