Advantages: FLAC support, great price, extras Disadvantages: poor display
...Since the release of the first iPod, Apple dominated the MP3-players market. It was time for someone to do something against "the white domination". iRiver, a Korean company entered the market with a precise target: to make mp3-players as good as possible.
In spring 2008, they released the E100, a full-featured, low-priced PMP. The main improvement of the E100 is the FLAC (free lossless audio codec) support, which translates by a crystal-clear sound, with the same audio fidelity as the first studio recording. The multitude of formats accepted is also a big plus: * MP3, * WMA, * OGG, * ASF. The music can be easily managed due to the large 2.4" color display. The LCD also serves to the video player, which supports * MPEG-4, * WMV and * XviD formats, at 30 fps. The playback is smooth and the image clear, but a major minus...

Advantages: Crammed with useful features Disadvantages: Can NOT record from radio

The model reviewed comes with 20gb of disk space. It is also available in a 40gb flavour known as the HP140...

...display and you can also view them on slideshow while listing to your music. videos are displayed at 15 frames per second (fps)which means that action videos can be a little streaky (for normal viewing it should be 24fps). but it is more than suffient for a small player as this. i didnt really expect to use the text viewing abilities but i am starting to use if for various things. the fm radio is also very good, offering 20 user presets and an exhaustive auto scan. the reception is also outstanding.
when transferring files to u10 you can use drag and drop. you can also transfer playlists from your computer or creat them in the u10. the only gripe i have regarding performance is the relatively slow transfer speeds. although it uses usb2.0 it is not achieving a fast transfer rate as my samsung t7z. at the moment though it's only a problem when...
