Advantages: Clear, bright colour screen, excellent sound quality, good price, made of bricks. Disadvantages: idiots will ask you why you didn't buy an Ipod. ;)
...I've tried a few mp3 players, and of the hard disk based ones, this is by far the best i've used.
I had an archos FM recorder before, which was pretty decent at the time, but it was big and bulky, and the build quality was pretty bad. Not so with the iRiver. It's a monster. It's pretty small, but it's got a great 40GB space, and it feels indestructible. It's incredibly well made.
It plays mp3 and Ogg and WMA, the only 3 audio formats you're likely to come across on the net, and the sound quality is fantastic.
Useful for me, and other photographers on the go, this model wil connect to your camera via the built in USB controller, letting you transfer your pictures onto the iRiver's hard drive. Hey presto! A 40GB memory card. That's a whole lot of pictures. I usually carry 2x512MB SD cards around with me, and transfer everything from...

Advantages: FLAC support, great price, extras Disadvantages: poor display
...Since the release of the first iPod, Apple dominated the MP3-players market. It was time for someone to do something against "the white domination". iRiver, a Korean company entered the market with a precise target: to make mp3-players as good as possible.
In spring 2008, they released the E100, a full-featured, low-priced PMP. The main improvement of the E100 is the FLAC (free lossless audio codec) support, which translates by a crystal-clear sound, with the same audio fidelity as the first studio recording. The multitude of formats accepted is also a big plus: * MP3, * WMA, * OGG, * ASF. The music can be easily managed due to the large 2.4" color display. The LCD also serves to the video player, which supports * MPEG-4, * WMV and * XviD formats, at 30 fps. The playback is smooth and the image clear, but a major minus...

Advantages: beautifully designed , easy to use screen, FM playback and recording Disadvantages: Not very large hard drive, video playback a gimmick
...This review is based on an imported US Clix 2GB
If you are looking for a small sized mp3 player, but aren't too bothered about having lots of space and maybe want to run with it , you should definitely consider this lovely little player.
It has a 2.2 inch display, which is very bright, clear and crisp. The menus are very intuitive and this player works great with Windows Media Player 11. The sound is also very good definitely better than an ipod nanos. The recording features are also very good, with a mic installed, and FM and line in recording capabilites are present (the FM quality and reception i found is great. Another great feature is its ability to play Flash Lite Apps and you can download these games for free on the internet (which are pretty good themselves). It also works fine when running with due to its flash based...

I am very happy with the player. It's nice and small and the display is as good as you will find on a player this size. It's really good having the micro sd expansion slot too, I have turned my player into what is effectively a 4GB MP3 Player, for very... more
