the best I've used so far
Advantages loads of offers
Disadvantages occasional missing item
I've used a couple of online suppliers for my groceries and so far Iceland is the best by far!!!
The site was well laid out, looked very professional and was quick to load. The first page was able to take the user to various places - shop now, check out all the online appliances, dinnerware from 99p if you spend £5, latest deals and whats new.
As you enter the 'shop now' icon you are greeted with another 'welcome page' and in the top right hand corner is the 'recommended by CIAO users' symbol (no better reason to choose Iceland now!!!!!!).Click on the 'click here to shop' icon and hey presto the store is yours!!
You're asked to enter your postcode so that the system can check that Iceland delivers in your area.I find this site the easiest by far to navigate around, the catagories listed on the left of the screen are so easy for example they're broken into:
Frozen Pizza and Garlic BreadWhen you click on a catagory you are then given a list of products broken down further for example if you click on :
Frozen Chips and Potato Productsthe sub catagories are:
Fry ChipsAs you can start to see navigation is excellent - no need to scroll through loads of products to find what your looking for!!!! (in fact - just to put us all off!! - there is even a christmas catagory which covers cakes for christmas, biscuits for christmas and sweets for christmas !!!!!!!! aarrgghhh its not that soon is it??!!)
There are 5 little symbols that could be shown next to any products which indicates that product is:
and a 'b' symbol which indicates 'buy one get one free' this is my favourite!!!!!!!!!!!!
I spend £80 on food and cleaning products and now am unable to fit anything else in my freezer !!!!
Delivery
I ordered my products on the Tuesday and asked for the delivery on Wednesday between 2pm and 4pm it was a little late arriving at just before 5pm. I didn't have so many mistakes as when I had ordered with anther well known supermarket online(!!) only having omitted the bread and one packet of Linda McCartney Sausages!!
I called to inform the store of the missing products they said they would deliver them when next in the area, this seemed a bit much just for 2 products so I agreed that the best thing would be just to credit them back onto my card (as the sausages were buy 1 get 1 free this meant that I got the delivered box free!!!!!!!!!!!!!).
