I have personally found icq to be out of this world. I find it very useful to be able to chat to my friends and family whilst visiting my favourite sites. You can also chat to a few friends by requesting a chat room which is good if there are a few of you on there who all know each other. In the chatroom there are also various noises you can send each other. If you have a microphone you can also send voice mail messages to each other. I can't recommend ICQ enough and you can download it free off the internet.
