Incredimail is a program that adds a bit of life and spice to your email.

IncrediMail is located in Israel. A major, first-rate European bank as well as institutional and private investors in the U.S, Europe and Israel financially backs IncrediMail Ltd.
IncrediMail was conceived from the movie Mission Impossible. In the movie Tom Cruise uses a futuristic and visually appealing email program. They began to search
for the email program used, only to find disappointing results. The truth of the matter is that the creators of Mission Impossible were simply too ashamed to have their superhero use the boring email programs that we commonly use since they were not up to Hollywood's creative standards. Other movies such as Disclosure, Copycat, Contact and others further prove this point.
The IncrediMail dream was thus conceived – “email like in the movies!”
So what’s all the fuss about? Let me try and give you a bit of information.
Basically once downloaded and installed this software will provide you with the following. Please note that I have not yet downloaded this program and all information contained in this opinion has been gathered from the “Demonstration” and from their website.
Incoming email Notifications ----------------------------------- This offers a wide variety of animations that inform you when you have incoming male. For example the have got an English Butler who walks in and says in a very typical upper class accent “You have mail Sir”. Others also include a Pigeon wearing the most outrageous pair of glasses, A superhero clutching your mail in his hands, A Jack in the Box, An old fashioned Mailbox with a lever and A Revolving “e” sign with an envelope as the background. They have a wide variety to choose from and new ones are constantly being added.
3D Effects when sending, receiving or deleting your messages -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Your Inbox basically becomes a tablet notebook and when you press “Next” or “Previous” the pages turn over to the next one. Also if you press, “Send” then the sheet of paper folds up into a “paper plane” and flies’ away, indicating it has been sent.
A Variety of Backgrounds, Animations and Sounds -------------------------------------------------------------- The background of each email can be personalized with a huge variety to choose from. You can then add animations such as Cartoon characters, A Heart, Animals etc. You can also add sounds and these will show up, on the email, also as an animation but with “Click Here” underneath it. When clicked it will produce the selected sound e.g. a funny laugh.
Personal Handwritten Signatures --------------------------------------- Add you own signature at the bottom of each email. I am not quite sure how this works yet but probably you would need a “computer pen” to enter and save and then your signature would be attached if choose this option.
Online Gallery that you can download updated Graphical Content from ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- All backgrounds, animations, sounds, email notifiers can be viewed at the gallery and subsequently downloaded into the software for future use. I have visited the gallery and the choice is quite immense and covers just about everything from the serious to the funny to the outrageous.
Lots of other features -------------------------- These include:
1) Cool text effects – You can download many different text effects, symbols and colourful letters.
2) Next generation greeting cards – You can download and then attach these greeting cards to your email. These cards are different from the usual ones that are available online. Also these are instantly viewable and the receiver does not have to click on a link and get the card from another website.
3) Create your own letters – This can also be done by using “Letter Creator” which is available on the Gallery page of the website.
Overall, from what I have seen, I have been quite impressed with the whole setup and the theory.
However the only thing that worries me here is size of the message. Not only may this inconvenience the receiver but may also use up more space on your Hard drive, since most of us would retain these messages in our Sent Items folder.
I have also understood from others opinions on this program that it may cause your computer to freeze whilst using your email. This problem would probably affect users who have a low MB on their computers or have a slow processor. It should not be a problem otherwise.
This program will also take over your complete email software. I am made to believe that you will not be able to use your previous email software, like Outlook Express, whilst this program is installed on your computer. If you have a change of heart, after downloading, you would need to Un-Install the software.
I think I have been tempted enough to give this one a go. If your tempted too then I would suggest you take a look at the “Demo” and have a look through their website before proceeding.

Advantages: Its Free, Great fun, some superb options available Disadvantages: Always check the directory mentioned in my opinion and make sure you empty it.
