WHO
JasonShankey.co.uk are: ‘worldwide suppliers of grooming and healthcare products’ selling all sorts of beauty products from hair care to tanning and even vitamins.
They sell a lot of GHD hair straighteners and GHD styling products as well as other brands such as fudge, Elizabeth Arden, St Tropez and Tigi. They are not a discount website, but they are good because they have a wide range of products which are sometimes hard to find on the high street.

WEBSITE
The website is colourful and well designed. However all of the products have pictures so it can be a little bit slow, depending on your computer.
The opening page prompts you to ‘come on in’ and once you have clicked this the home page opens. The star buys and special offers are the main feature of this page. To the top there is search box for you to find exactly what you are looking for, a link to the checkout and an option to subscribe to the newsletter.
To the left is the menu bar which allows you to navigate through different types of products available including clearance, electrical, hair removal, men’s, nails etc. At the bottom there is links for ‘the salon’ which is a male version of the site, ‘affiliates’ ‘contact us’ ‘FAQ’s’ ‘Privacy Policy’ and ‘Terms& conditions’
When you click on an option (e.g. Nails) on the left it takes you to all of the products available on that area. You can then see a bit of information for each product and the price. If you want more information then you need to click on the picture. This will take you to a much more detailed description of the product and a larger photo. You will be able to see from here if the item is in stock and can add it to basket. You also have the option to go back to the previous page or look at the bottom of the page to see some suggested products that you may like.

CHECKOUT
Once you have added a product to the basket you will be taken to a summary page of all the items you have added to basket and the total including £1 P&P. You now have several options- continue to shop, change the quantity or delivery country followed by recalculate, add any special requests, or pay for goods. You can pay by Visa, MasterCard, Switch or Solo, cheque or postal order.
When you click pay for goods you will need to put in your details such as delivery address and email. You have the option to tick a box for your details to be saved for future purchases. Next click on continue and you will be shown a list of the products you are buying and the cost, as well as your address so you can check you entered it correctly.
You click continue again and are prompted that you are entering a secure server. Once you have finished entering your payment details you will be sent an email to confirm that your order has been placed.

DELIVERY
This is a flat rate of £1 for the UK for any number of items in one order. Every time I have ordered something from here it has arrived within 1 to 2 days. The packaging isn’t the best I’ve seen- but it’s not the worst. They seem to like using padded envelopes rather than boxes so things can get a little bit squashed, but I haven’t actually had anything broken.

CUSTOMER SERVICE
So far I have been very impressed with this company so I have had no need to use their customer service so I cannot really comment on this. However when you place an order you receive a prompt email from the customer service department summarising what you have bought and another email once the item is shipped. It does say that you can contact them if you want to return anything but again I have not had to do this.

NEWSLETTER
I have subscribed to the newsletter and it’s quite good. It tells you about new products and special offers which is quite useful. You can also easily unsubscribe from it if you change your mind.
