Advantages: browse from your armchair, good prices Disadvantages: none I hope
After weeks of mooching around the shops looking for Xmas pressies for the family, I decided today to have a little peep onto the internet to see if it could solve my yearly problem of what to buy everyone.
After getting bombarded with emails from ipoints offering me double points to join various schemes, I decided on Just Good Books.
Surely everyone enjoys reading, well tough if they don't, I can always read them, hee hee.
I signed onto ipoints ... ...Good Books site.
The first thing I come across is a lady looking like Anne Robinson looking down at me.
Oh dear, I thought, I best buy something, the look she gave me wasn't one to be messed about with!
The next thing I noticed was 75% off Every Book, choose up to 6 books.
Well how did they know I wanted six books, I was beginning to think they were a physchic page.
Also after choosing 6 books, you can also get a free book. This is where I gain, ...

Advantages: I liked the site, and everything worked well. Their offers are very hard to beat, and they offer a good selection of books. Disadvantages: The most important one is the lack of any books received.
Just good books???
Every once in a while you take the risk of actually visiting one of those sites so brutally advertised in every single e-mail you receive. Usually you end up regretting this moment of web-weakness, but sometimes you can end up discovering a really good and useful site. This is how I first ventured into the JustGoodBooks website. A link on one of my ipoints mails swiftly sent me to the land off hardcovers, paperbacks and huge savings. ... ...impossible to resist. Where else can you get 3 brand new books at 75% off, another one free, and it all delivered to your home, once again free of charge? You immediately get the urge to start reading something which won’t be used the next day to wrap your chips in. The 70 bonus ipoints also comes in handy.
I took up the offer immediately, and ordered all three the Nigella Lawson books for the insane amount of £15, including postage and delivery. ...

Advantages: Good discounts on many publications, cheapish P&P, No major purchasing commitment Disadvantages: Some books are found cheaper elsewhere (I'm only nit-picking!)
I received an email from Mypoints.co.uk (for those unfamiliar with this rewards programme, please refer to my previous, or some other Ciaoer’s op, found under that product title on Ciao). That was over a month ago. The offer was that you get 500 points from Mypoints if you decide to join Just goodbooks.co.uk. Thrown in as an appetizer for joining was an offer of buying three books from the Harry Potter series, namely The philosopher’s ... ...all for £9.99, and you also get The goblet of fire (the fourth book) thrown in for free.
Initially I couldn’t believe my luck. I was going to buy the whole set for £25 or so from one of those agents who drop in books and toys in small retail shops, and collect a week or two later (sorry, don’t know the exact term applied to them). Any way, I checked and read the terms and conditions for the offer, and the only obligation was your commitments ...

Advantages: cheap books Disadvantages: a long wait
MyPoints.co.uk offered me 500 points to join Justgoodbooks.co.uk. Not an offer I was going to pass up in a hurry as all books have up to 75% off.
My joining offer was any book with up to 75% off, with a free book (The Painted House, by John Grisham).
I chose three books because if you order three books you get free postage (which is normally £1 per book).
For my £8.25 I have finally received -
- A Painted House
- A Man Called Dave by Dave Pelzer
... ...Echo Burning by Lee Child
Requirements:
They are a book club! Although you do only have to order one book within six months. The postage remains at £1 per book unless you order three books. You are sent a magazine every month to choose your selction if you desire. (There was nothing I wanted in this first magazine that arrived with my order)
What they say:
Every magazine contains a special offer (this time it was Jamie Oliver cook book at half ...
