Never get the products ! , abusive customer service advisors, impersonal responses, lying staff, underhanded practices (in my opinion, without concrete proof !  ! )  -  just so you dont sue me !

Kays suck! - I just needed to get that out of the way!

My story is a simple one, DONT ORDER ANYTHING BIG FROM KAYS!

We ordered a rear-projection 49" TV costing £1,499.99 and was dissapointed to say the least when we were told we had to wait 'up-to' six weeks giving us the cut off date as 30th of October.

So we waited.................. and waited.................and waited until we finally got a phone call saying it would be delivered on Wednesday the 27th of October.

We then noticed on our account via the web, it had been cancelled so we rang their 'help-line', manned (or womanned!) by complete retards that know nothing about their jobs and dont care about their PAYING customers.

We were passed on and fobbed off countless times. Told we'd be rung back and they didn't, gave us false promises and much more.

All this time we were dealing with their in-bred cousins, the Internet Customer Advisors who just send out pre-typed responses and copy/paste "if there is anything we can do more, please contact ME", me being never to be seen or heard from again!

There was a mix up and instead of cancelling the fairy lights, the TV got cancelled instead. So with promises that the TV would still come and dont worry, the TV DIDN'T come and when asked what to do next, they said re-order it and it would take "UP TO SIX WEEKS"!!!!!!!

On asking if something could be done to speed it up, they said NO!

On asking could they tell me why the TV got cancelled and didn't get changed back, they said NO!

On asking if they could answer why they did NOTHING to stop the suppliers from thinking I didn't want the TV, they said "Their system doesn't work that way"

I also asked why I've been treated like an idiot by a huge list of people and my wishes ignored, they said "we are sorry for any inconvenience caused"

We will be paying off our account and moving our hard earned cash to someoneelse. Over the years, we've paid thousands to them and never once had a problem sorted out (and there has been a few!) but this just killed it for us!

I have reported them to the governing body that deals with this sort of thing and below is a name and shame for the people that 'dealt' with us on the email.

This list of people gave me promises they could turn around the cancellation and advise to ignore the internet account! It just goes to show that "community serive" and "care in the community" DON'T WORK!

My advice is never buy anything from them because, although you will get your things, now and again, when they f#*k up, they dont accept responsibility and dont bother trying to put the problem right!! It's the principal of the thing.... why give money to a company that obviously doesn't give a shit about it'sbread and butter!???

AND..... just to add insult to injury, it was THEM that asked us to order something as we hadpaid the account off and hadn't ordered anything for over a month. They gave us some crap about being a valued customer and gave us the promo-code of D3R2 giving us and extra 10% off our first order.

We ordered the TV, two sofas and a table with six chairs. They charged us FULL PRICE with the two sofas and tables/chairs and if we had ordered the TV again, we wouldn't get any discount.

My final thought is because they gave us the code and we used it, ordering over £2,000 worth of stuff, they suddenly though "Shit, we have to give them over £200 off AND the standard 10% cashback too,lets f#*k up their order to save money!"

Eeek what a dreadful experience. I do agree with Louise though that maybe this would be better placed in the Buyer Beware section as it's more of a complaint about their appalling customer service.
