We all know how much babies cost, I'm just so glad to have found this site. My only regrets are that I didn't find it sooner. I discovered Kiddicare care when pregnant with my daughter the middle of 2004. When I had been pregnant with my son the year beforehand I had scoured the internet for hours looking for somewhere to source my baby goods. I hadn't come across this then and if I had the savings I would have made would have been phenomenal.
NAVIGATION OF WEBSITE
Using this site is easy peasy. It is laid out clearly into categories which makes it easy to navigate and find what you want. You can browse products by category or by brand or alternatively use the search bar to search for the product you want. I will go into some of the other categories just now.
This is quite self explanatory. This shows you the most popular products that have been purchased over the past 30 days. As I write this some of the best sellers include a BabyDan baby swing for £49.99 and a Britax Cruiser Car Seat for £29.99 which are both half of the RRP.
These are all at bargain prices and once again range from little things to slightly bigger stuff. This section is divided into sub categories. Two of these categories is accessible from the main page, these being Bargains and Wholesale. You can order anything from Xtra Deals along with anything else from their Online shopping categories or their bestsellers and shipping is free. If you only want to order Xtra Deals then you will have to order over £50.
These are basically Xtra Deals products and follow the same rule of ordering as above. These currently include a Maclaren Volo Buggy and raincover for £29.99
At the moment they do not have a lot in this category but sometimes they have pages of products. Their wholesale stuff is usually stock that they want to get rid of and is non-returnable. I have ordered from this section before and was very happy with what I received.
This is a new section that has been added on in the past few months, this is accessible from the main page. There are some great bargains to be had here again, some are classed as Xtra Deals (these are marked with an X beside the product name). One of their current products is a Graco Expedition G-Tek Buggy for £39.99, this isn't an Xtra Deal.
With Xmas just around the corner Kiddicare has added their Christmas section which is basically products that are already on their site under other categories. This section is also spilt into sub-categories for ease of use. The colour scheme of the website has been slightly changed to tie in with the festive season.
STOCK AND PRICES
Kiddicare stock just about everything that you would need for your little one. About the only thing that they don't stock mush of is clothing and footwear. You would probably be much cheaper buying basic clothing from Asda or Tesco. Their list of products are extensive ranging from bigger things like cots, pushchairs and highchairs to bottles, teats and breast pads. They stock most brands so there is something there for everyone.
Their delivery information is clearly displayed on the site underneath their shopping categories. Delivery is free within UK Mainland, however if you wish to order Xtra deals only then the minimum order value is £50. There is a map detailing where they ship too and information on who will deliver your order and somewhere to insert a tracking number. All of the orders that i have placed have arrived within about 3 days and i live in the North East of Scotland.
GIFT LISTS AND CERTIFICATES
Kiddicare offer gift certificates. All you need to do is input the recipients details, the value of the voucher and a personal message on the site and add to your basket. The recipient receives a claim code to use. This is only valid for 1 year and can only be used on Kiddicare's site.
They also have a Gift List service. Follow the instructions and register your gift list and as people order the items they will automatically be removed from your list. There is the option to add more and orders can be delivered to the recipients or the buyers address. You need to be registered with Kiddicare to be able to use this function.
Kiddicare provides excellent customer services. Contacting them is fast, there are a number of ways which are all clearly displayed so they are easy to find.
PRICE MATCH PLUS
Kiddicare run a price match promise. If you find a product on another website cheaper then they will beat their price and give you 20% of the price difference. You can email them or there is a form to print out but all the conditions of it are clearly displayed.
ORDERING The first thing that I ordered was a Graco Stadium Tandem Duo for £84.99, a bargain considering the £129.99 that Mothercare were charging for the same product. I also purchased some Avent sealing discs and dome caps which worked out to be cheaper than Asdas by about 20p each. My order arrived within 2 days which I thought was good as I stay up in the North East of Scotland.
So impressed with them all round I always search for products on their website before I purchase from anywhere else. The most recent things that I ordered was a Britax car seat, which was £20 cheaper than the Halfords sale. A raincover from my tandem which I couldn't find elsewhere. A box of 40 raincovers which I made about 300% profit on. I also purchased a Winnie the Pooh Play Gym then about a month later I emailed them about it as I saw that the price was cheaper on Nursery and Toys website. True to their word they dropped the price to just below theirs and it soon sold out quick.
All in all i would say that this has to be the best place to buy your baby goods. They are affordable and good quality. I always check here first when there is something i want now.
