Opening a Ladbrokes account:
I enjoy watching & participating in most sports but even more so when Ive had a little bet. I like a flutter no matter what, whether it is horse racing, football, golf, tennis etc. Since the introduction of the Internet gambling & betting sites have become very popular with the amateur, average & professional punter. Leading the way of course are the three main rival betting chains ~ Ladbrokes, Williamhill & Coral ~ Yet in saying that there are still several smaller betting sites that can still compete with the so called big boys ~ Sites such as Betfair.com, a unique betting site that allows the punter to pick their own odds. As well as Flutter.com, bet24/7.co.uk & sportinglife.com. (All unique & competitive in their own way) ~ Despite the fierce competition of all these gambling & betting sites on offer I still prefer Ladbrokes.com.
Why????????
Well, apart from it being one of the big three betting chains out there & offering instant tax free betting, I find that Ladbrokes.com offers top quality service ~ Covering an array of major sporting betting events & forthcoming events ~ events such as:
~ World Cup 2002 ~ US Open / The Open (Muirfield) ~ Royal Ascot/ The Derby / The Oaks /Epsom ~ British Grand Prix ~ Wimbledon Championships ~ NatWest Trophy Cricket Tournament. Etc etc
Offering the punter a wide selection of spread bets. No matter what sport your into, you can rest assured that Ladbrokes.com will be in the forefront of any major betting event ~ Constantly up-dating & keeping the punter informed of all the latest odds or any market moves for any particular sporting event/venue. So dont miss out on a spectacular summer of sport & join Ladbrokes.com. NOW
Opening a Ladbrokes account:
Opening an account with Ladbrokes .com is very simple & straightforward, so simple that it only takes a few minutes to complete. When registering for the first time you are asked to create a username & password as well as completing which type of betting currency you plan to use. Next comes your personal details, such as name, address, D.O.B, e-mail address & last of all your bank/credit card details ~ this type information is mandatory & must be completed by all new account holders. Once all the information is processed (doesnt take that long) you will receive an e-mail confirmation (a bit similar when registering with Ciao) welcoming you to Ladbrokes.com online betting.
YOU NOW HAVE A LADBROKES BETTING ACCOUNT . YIPEEEEEE!!
Activating your account on-line:
Yet again, activating your account on-line is very simple ~ You simply visit www.Ladbrokes.com, click Log-in at the top right hand corner of the screen, a small pop-up window will be displayed where you will be asked to enter your username & password ~ Once your logged-in then you are ready to navigate the site & check out the latest betting odds for any particular sporting event.
How your account works:
Managing your Ladbrokes online account is a piece of cake ~ you simply deposit cash into your Ladbrokes account with your credit/debit card (there is no need to register you card details again). If you place a winning bet Ladbrokes will credit to your account & if you place a losing bet Ladbrokes will debit your account. You have full control of all deposits & withdrawals & so its up to you when you transfer money back & forth to your credit/debit card or Ladbrokes.com account. There is no limit as to how much you can deposit or withdraw, giving you flexibility & scope when placing bets.
Layout/Design of site:
When comparing the many layouts & designs displayed by other online betting sites, Ladbrokes.com has to be right up there with the best ~ The site is designed for easy use, a big major plus when navigating through the many betting sports events on offer. Not only is the site designed for easy use but it also offers absolute security & speed, enabling you to make transactions & place betting very quickly. Ladbrokes.com uses the latest in strong encryption & secure socket layer technology ~ thus enabling you to bet in absolute confidence. Another plus point when navigating the site is that you are not littered with banners or constant pop-up windows, instead you can concentrate on betting without being interrupted.
The site is broken down into the following categories all of which are displayed on the homepage ~ the betting categories are as follows:
1)~ Football ~ 2)~ Racing ~ 3)~ Specials ~ 4)~ Sports ~ 5)~ Pools ~ 6)~ Lotteries ~ 7)~ Casino ~ 8)~ Poker ~ 9)~ Balls ~
Clicking on any of the categories above will open up a minefield of sporting information as well as all the latest odds or any ante-post bets you wish to stake. All the information displayed is clear, user-friendly & well presented ~ Giving you the punter easy & quick access to online betting.
Take number 3 for example ~ The Specials category, for all those Big Brother fans out there Ladbrokes is offering 50/1 that Jade will marry PJ, a long shot methinks but thats the beauty of betting, you just never know ~ Another special bet that Ladbrokes is offering ~ 50/1 that Liam Gallagher & Robbie Williams will release a duet by the end of this year another long shot methinks .
Lets take number 7 for example ~ the casino category, by clicking on the casino you are directly linked to Ladbrokes online casino. A wide range of games on offer, blackjack, poker, roulette etc Not my kind thing but still very popular with many of Ladbrokes account customers.
So there you have it, Ladbrokes.com is far more than just a horse/football-betting medium. It also provides a wide range & levels of gambling/betting not only for the professional punter but also for the amateur/average punter. Like the old saying goes you only bet what you can afford to lose & if your one of those people who enjoy a flutter but at the same time dont want to stake a lot then at Ladbrokes.com you can bet as small as 0.50p a stake ~ Hmmm Not bad for those amateur punters hey.
Placing a bet:
So youve studied the odds & you are now ready to place your bet ~ this is the easy part simply because Ladbrokes.com make it easy. As I mentioned earlier the entire site is user friendly & designed for easy use & so placing a bet couldnt be any easier.
E.g.: Frazzled 16/1 ~ You simply click on the name Frazzled, a pop-up window will appear, this being your betting slip. All betting slips have confirmation numbers and the time the bet took place as well the name of your chosen horse/team etc . You then type in the stake you wish to place & automatically the betting slip will calculate your returns on the amount you staked & at what odds you took. Once you input your stake you then press the confirmation button which in return will pop out another small window ~ this is just in case you change your mind (very useful tool). Basically, in order to honour your bet you will have to click on the confirmation button twice.
Once the bet goes through you can view it in your account profile ~ your accounts profile also provides information on winnings, losses, deposits, withdrawals, outstanding bets etc . It is here where you can access all the information you need to know about your entire Ladbrokes history ~ Once again, a well presented & organized profile that is user friendly & makes easy reading.
Types of bets available:
An array of spread bets on offer:
~ Singles ~ Each Way ~ Forecasts ~ Tricasts ~ Yankee
The above bets can be quite daunting for those who are knew to online betting or betting in general so make sure you understand the different types of bets on offer before making a stake.
This is what its all about WINNING :O) ~ When winning a bet Ladbrokes.com pay promptly ~ Once the result filters through you are paid automatically, all winning funds are deposited into your Ladbrokes account without any delay. They are very professional when paying out winning bets and I have never experienced any problems in that department. If by any chance you do experience a problem with a bet you have made then customer service is only a phone call away 0800 731 41 71 & they are there to help.
Pros of online betting/Ladbrokes.com
They say betting is a mugs game but online betting can be very profitable if you know what you are doing. It is far easier to make money betting online than at your local bookies & I will explain why. Its all about being organized in your betting & online betting offers you that chance.
~ The punter more or less knows what options he/she has to place a bet, unlike your local bookie where you are not really sure what options you have when you walk in.
~ Online betting allows you to be on the ball; you have access to information such as the latest odds & options available.
~ You can place a bet night or day 24/7, from the comfort of your home/workplace ~ no fuss & no hassles.
~ You can study the odds & make bets on ante-post events ~ always guaranteed to get the best odds on offer.
~ Ladbrokes.com will be able to tell you where the smart money lies ~ Often known as market movers, something which most punters are blind to when entering their local bookies.
E.g. ~ A horse has an SP (starting price) of say 50/1 but all of a sudden it has an SP of 33/1 then down to 16/1 eventually closing at an SP of 8/1, this is often known as a market mover. The reason why the odds have cut down so drastically in a space of two minutes or so is that this particular horse has been backed. This is invaluable information to the punter ~ online betting gives you the opportunity to follow market movers. Nine times out of ten market movers win their races.
Like the saying goes ~ Follow the money & you will win.
The cons of online betting/Ladbrokes.com
Not many cons Im afraid but the most obvious one would be to gamble you life savings way, after all 24/7 gambling can very tempting for a lot of punters. Enticing you to bet on just about everything. The casino can be deadly, I know someone who lost £4,000 on two hands on blackjack ~ Still I for one class myself as an average punter & I personally could not take that road. I simply work too hard for my money.======== ~ Bottom Line ~ ==============Ladbrokes.com is a must for your average punter ~ A great betting site that covers just about everything. The site is always looking to improve, with new features being installed all the time. Ive been a member for almost two years now and during that time I have won some big prizes. Ladbrokes history speaks for itself & so you can rest assured when placing a bet that you are in good hands.
Advantages: Professional, easy to use, fast payouts Disadvantages: Its easier to lose than to win...sigh
I know nada about sport (no 'typical woman' comments please) but I do like to play casinos and poker online, and without a doubt the best all round site that I have found is Ladbrokes.
There are plenty of varying deposit and withdrawal methods, when you deposit it goes into the main 'sportsbook account'. From there you can transfer easily between sportsbook, casino and poker accounts meaning you can keep money set aside specifically for poker etc ... ...have in each 'account'.
The poker is played in USD rather than GBP but everything is converted for you within the cashier.
The casino software is very easy to use. There is both a download and non-download version meaning you can play from anywhere that has a computer using your own account.
There are huge amounts of games to choose from, slots, table games and video poker, all set out in easy menus and on the download version it automatically ...

Advantages: Nice casino and betting spreads Disadvantages: Little slow, but when the site was down on sat they gave everyone 10 pound for free¬!
Ladbrokes has a lot to answer for. It has generated high and low points for me personally over the last 6 months. Here I will outline what Ladbrokes.co.uk is all about and how I have used the site for online gambling over the recent months. BACKGROUND Ladbrokes is one of the Big three betting chains in England, Coral and William Hills being the others. It went Online a few years back, but only this year has the site been fully functional and a ... ...works fine on all the main browsers and loads very fast at off-peak hours. The main problem I have encountered is the mass lag on the site whenever a major betting event or race meeting is taking place. This is a REAL problem to any serious punter whos watching the racing and wants to get the best price from the site. It can often take 10 attempts to get the race details up on screen and place your bet. So you often have to bet earlier than is best. ...

Advantages: Good odds on bets, easy to use Disadvantages: very slow in transactions and changing of pages.
...but I have been using Ladbrokes.com for about the beginning of March. I have found the web site to be very slow throughout the logging in, changing of pages, checking past bets whether settled or unsettled, and basically every thing else. The odds are quite good for the same bet in comparrison to other web sites. As the site is slow, by the time you have placed a bet which is live, the odds have often changed, sometimes for the better.
The bets ... ...election, does the Loch Ness Monster live or existed, Christmas No. 1, and a whole lot more bets. There is also a fantisy football on the web site with a whole lot of money to be won if you become first place, as well as an online casino. At the moment if you join, you get either £10 or £20 towards your first bet with them but you have to put a deposit of an equal amount first and the transaction must go through before you are entiltled to it.

Advantages: Not a bad idea. Conveinient Disadvantages: Too slow
Ladbrokes are the online bookies that I use. I dont know why though because they have one of the slowest loading site on the net. Its not my modem either because its slow at work too and they have ISDN. The site is hard to navigate. It also has an annoying bit of speech at the beginning that always say the same thing in a really bad sampled .wav file saying "for all your betting needs ladbrokes.com" The thing is, you need to go to ladbrokes.co.uk!!! ...

I am one of those people that like a flutter, especially as the internet offers ways to bet without paying tax.
I joined Ladbrokes as it is a respectable bookmaker on the high street and therefore presumed it would be online. I wanted to try online casinos, and with so many American online one's and other 'unheard of' casinos, I thought that Ladbrokes would be my 'best bet', excuse the pun.
I have spent a few pounds within the casino to say the ... ...I'm about even overall. The casino software is available to download, the basic version being around 4megs and the full casino around 14megs. You now can also order the CDrom too, and have it delivered to your home. I was surprised to find that I had been given £25 for free, to play with. Naturally you had to gamble it all before you could draw it out, so I did. I won £20 back from it and haven't been back since!
The reason I haven't been back is ...
