What is Lloydstsb.com? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This is an internet banking service provided by Lloydstsb Bank, which allows you to access and manage your financial matters from the comfort of your own home, or anywhere where there is access to the internet. You do not have to be a customer of Lloydstsb to open an online account with this company, all you need to do I register to apply for an internet banking account which is free.
How to Join. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Registering for an account with Lloydstsb.com is easy and free, and can by done by clicking the register link below the log on buttons on the Lloydstsb.com homepage http://www.lloydstsb.com. This link takes you to the registration selection page, which will give you a choice of either business or personal accounts to register for.
For a personal account, you will need either a current account with Lloydstsb or a valid Credit Card. These are required so that Lloydstsb can get verification that you are who you say you are and to confirm your home address. You will not be charged on your Credit Card or your account for applying to Lloydstsb.com. To apply a new web browser page will open for you to complete the fields required. You will also be requested to read and agree with the site terms and conditions. Once you have done this make a note of your details supplied and within 10 working days, you will be sent your account access details. You will then be able to open your account via the internet once you have received these, but the
first time you access you will be requested to choose memorable details which you need to remember. This is for security purposes and will be needed every time you log in after completing the memorable information field.
The Registration process for a business account is very similar to the personal account application except different information is requested. I am not able to comment any further on this matter though as I do not personal have a business account so have never had to apply for one.
Accessing your Account. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Accessing you Lloydstsb.com is straightforward yet secure, and can be done by visiting http://www.lloydstsb.com and clicking on the Personal Account Log on button found in the top right hand side of the homepage. You will then be taken to the secure log on pages of Lloydstsb.com ready to access your account. When you get to these pages you need to enter your User I.D. and your password in the boxes requested. At this point, you can save your User I.D. to your computer for future visits if you are accessing from your private computer that is by ticking the box saying remember me underneath the User I.D and password boxes. Be warned this is not suitable for use on public access computers, as you will be telling the next user of Lloydstsb.com your User I.D. Do not panic though your password is never saved via computers whether public or private. After you have done this your are sent to the memorable information page where you are requested to chose random pacific digits from the details you choose from the three drop down menus supplied e.g. 3rd digit, 5th digit, 7th digit. This is an added security measure by Lloydstsb.com to stop security breaches from hackers. The memorable information, like the password is chosen by you not Lloydstsb.com. Once you have completed this section of account access you have now logged on to your Lloydstsb.com online Bank Account.
Your Account. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Once you have logged on to your account you are taken to the main account overview page that provides all the links you need to have full access to your online bank account, these are some of the features:-
Statements ========== This option allows you to access your bank account statements for over six months previous and these statements give you full details of each transaction that has happened on your account. You can also choose to go to direct date payments or print off your bank statement from the drop down menu available on this feature.
Direct Debits ============= Here you are able to access the details of any direct debits you have set up on your account and view the details of amounts and due dates of each individual direct debit. You are also able to delete unwanted direct debits from your account via this feature but you cannot adjust direct debit mandates in any way on your account.
Standing Orders. ================= This feature allows you to set up your own personal standing orders for your account. Standing orders work on the same basis as direct debits, but you get to set them up and you are able to adjust them. You have to complete all the details on the as account name, sort account, account number, payment amount and how regular you want to pay it. You get to choose from weekly, four weekly, monthly, quarterly or annually for how often you wish to make your chosen standing order. You can amend these at any time via your online account as well as delete them.
Transfers and Payments. ======================= This feature allows you to access Bill Payments feature or arrange a Bank Transfer. Bill payments means you can set up to pay all your bills from your online account with an easy search facility to help you to find the company you wish to pay. Bank Transfer allows you to access the feature to pay money to another persons personal account direct from your bank to there's and basically is like an electronic online cheque.
Other Features You Can Access. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Lloydstsb.com offers you some other features on the personal account that you are able to access, these are options to apply for a personal loan, a credit card and an overdraft facility. Although Lloydstsb.com try to give you an instant decision online for your applications you can occasionally be given a phone number to continue your application as they need more information in order to process your request. These phone numbers are for the Lloydstsb helpdesks for each relevant department.
Security. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Security on Lloydstsb.com is extremely high and they are continually working to keep it secure for all of its customers by adding new and update security measures. It is important that you know though to also insure you play your part in keeping it secure by reading any security alerts they send you and following all, there security measures as set out by them. An important thing to know though is that Lloydstsb.com will never email you and request you password or memorable information. If you receive an email message requesting this you should contact Lloydstsb.com as soon as possible and bring this matter to there attention. In addition, you need to be sure never to give out any of your account details for Lloydstsb.com to anyone, as this also will prevent a security breach.
Changing Account Information. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This is about your security and accessibility to changing person details on your account such as your name, address, email address and phone number. You are not able to change your name or address via online banking but you can request the forms to be sent to you in order for you to do this. The forms are then forwarded to address registered with the account for security purposes, so if you have already moved and are not having your mail redirected it is recommend you call into your nearest Lloydstsb Bank to sort this matter with them immediately. You can however change your home phone number and your personal email address, as these features are only used to send you updated security alerts and market research purposes, but you will still need to confirm these changes with your password.
My Opinion on Lloydstsb.com ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I have been a customer of Lloydstsb.com for nearly six years now and I must confess that I personally have been extremely lucky concerning account security and I have never had any fake emails trying to access my details. I am not saying that it does not happen however, I am just expressing my personal experience. I also have had the great pleasure of witnessing a few of the newer security measures such as the memorable information section introduced. I personally thought that the site was extremely secure before they added this measure so in my own opinion I feel that Lloydstsb.com offers a very high quality security on there internet banking facility. It is hard for me to compare it service to other online banking facilities as I have only ever had access to one other companies, but I will say in my opinion compared to that company I think Lloydstsb.com offer a great, easy to use, secure, easy to navigate and professional service to all there online banking customers. Therefore I will be willing to recommend Lloydstsb.com for online banking and give them a 9.5/10 for there service and features.

Very comprehensive review, I find lloydstsb.com really convenient & easy to use. Pity their savings rates are so poor so it is necccesary to use another bank when you've got a few quid stashed for a rainy day.

I bank online with Smile but they process is pretty similar, still a few sceptics out there though!
Advantages: Track account movements and transfer instantly between accounts. Apply for e-savngs account. Disadvantages: Access code device doesn't work overseas
Advantages: Easy way to keep track of finances Disadvantages: Can be slow at times

Review of Lloyds TSB Online Banking
Advantages: Track account movements and transfer instantly between accounts. Apply for e-savngs account. Disadvantages: Access code device doesn't work overseas
Advantages: They will extend your overdraft without your prior knowledge or permission Disadvantages: That overdraft will then cost you darely should you ever fall into financial difficulties
Advantages: I can check my balance or whether a payment has gone out without leaving the house. I can also set up a full months bill payments in one go. Disadvantages: I still have to go to town to get money out - unfortunately I can't see a solution to this problem

Review of LloydsTSB
Advantages: A hard copy statement can be printed out. Disadvantages: No identification of who has been paid, or paid you, although this information is provided in the normal monthly statement sent by post.
