U recieve the usual confirm/welcome e-mails and everything is looking good.A few days later i recieved the message that i got my chosen game, which appeared reasonable soon after, i'm impressed. The game arrived and was scratched to hell, it did work but occasionally jumped, mmmmmmm. After that i never got my choice of cd always 2nd or third, a case of supply not meeting demand or beening annoyed with me?mmmmmm, which followed by unanswered calls, just the answer machine, when i phoned to enquire about the late arrival of my most recent choice. Two weeks later i recieved an e-mail saying they'd had problems and the £14.99 monthly fee hadn't been taken off my account every month so they were debiting my account with £60, which i barely had, i'd had enough for paying for a poorly desighed website(nearly as bad as qxls)and poor customer service, months after launch. I phoned to make sure i'd get through and found out i also had to give one month's notice if i wanted to terminate my account. AVOID LIKE I PLAGUE!!!.
Advantages: None Disadvantages: Slow, Poor management and comm's
This site allows you to hire a game for a week. It looks very professional, with a good selection of the latest titles.
It was attractive to me as I wanted to try a game that I thought would not have much longevity. The one week hire would be enough.
I placed an online order on 7-3-01. A fast automated email came back with a transaction verified message.
My Switch card was debited the next day.
According to their website when the card is debited ... ...I expected it by the weekend.
Almost a week later there was no sign of the game.... I tried to email them and each and every email is bounced with an “unknown address” message.
I tried to phone them and you just get connected to an automated message telling you the number is no longer in use.
....and then out of the blue I received an apology email and an account of their problems. They had had problems with their email system AND ...

There are several web sites out there providing games rental for the major consoles. These include GamesFrenzy, GamesToGo and of course Loan-Gamer. Even some of the DVD rental sites offer a limited selection of games. The idea is great - for a set monthly fee you are able to rent as many games as you want for as long as you want. Loan-Gamer offers two packages - X1 for £11.99 a month allowing one game at a time and X2 for £19.99 a month allowing ... ...10 day free trial, signed up for the X2 package and made up my "requests" list. This basically allows you to browse their selection of games and select which ones you would like to rent in a priority order. The idea is as and when a game is due to be sent to you the game nearest the top of your list will be sent. I made up a list containing 15 games. I was expecting to receive two games from them in the first batch, but sadly no. After 5 days I received ...

Advantages: Easy, loads of games and pretty cheap Disadvantages: none so far
Used Loan-Gamer - the online game game rental company recently and personally i found them to be excellent. They allow you to rent you as many games as you like for £19.99 a month & you keep 2 at a time and keep swaping them as much as you like. I reckon I've rented about 15 games so far and they keep coming. GREAT IDEA!!!
Also, u can rent games one at a time for 4.75 and 5.75. This is a lot cheaper than my local Blockbuster and to be honest there's ...
