Advantages A great deal of competitions
Disadvantages A lot of items to take in
This is a re-write on one of my first ops. It was only a paragraph long and was complete nonsense before!Loquax.co.uk is one of the best internet comping sites around. I cam across this little gem by doing a search on Google late last year and have been hooked ever since. I log onto Loquax every day, as they have a great listing of competitions every day.
Firstly, it is possible to register for the Loquax newsletter, if you cannot be bothered to check the site out each day. This is mailed to you, once a week by e-mail, although sometimes I haven’t received it.You do not need to register with the site to enable you to view all the listed competitions, but it is strongly advised as registered users can view the latest competitions, plus have the use of the competition tracker, which I will cover in due course. Other functions only available to registered users, are the competition forums, where messages can be places to other users and also the discussion forums. Registering is easy. Simply enter your email address, a username and a password. An email will then be sent to you with a link that will activate your account.
Each day on the site, by clicking on the relevant link, it is possible to view all competitions added that day, and also the ones that will be closing soon or closing that day. There are also sections for daily entry competitions, one-offs, competitions run by Loquax themselves, monthlies and weeklies.
The prize directory sections enables you to see, at a glance, competitions in specific categories, so if you only want to enter competitions for DVD players, you click on that link, which will then display all the relevant competitions.A downside to Loquax is that clicking on the links does not open the competition in another window, unless you right click. I enter literally loads of competitions every day. I have what I call my clicking frenzy first thing in the morning, and this really does infuriate me, as it slows me up. However, once you have remembered to right click, you’re ok! So today, I’ve clicked on Wednesday new competitions, which in turn takes me to the listings. These are divided into two columns, the name of the site running the competition on the left, with the prize on the right. When you spot a competition that you would like to enter, simply click on the name of the site. The next page will list all competitions currently running on that site, with the most recent at the top.
This is where the competition trackers comes into its own!! Links to competitions that you have already entered will be shown in red, whilst those that you haven’t yet entered will be shown in blue. This part of the site saves so much time, but remember you must register with Loquax to take advantage of this! Each competition will have the prize listed first and then details of what you have to do in order to win it. It also tells you when the competition has been added or when it will be closing.
Once you’ve found the competition on this page that you like, you can actually left click on it and it will be opened in a new window!
