After joining Webrewards, I had a good look around the site to see if there were any other ways of earning myself a few more. As I have written in my Webrewards opinion a while ago, it is hard to earn Webrewards, and luckysurf.com is one way in which you can earn a few more, or even some cash!

Basically, you sign up, play once a day, receive an email telling you if you have won, then play again, receive an email to see if you have won, play again, receive an email telling you if you have been lucky, play again…… I think you know what happens next!

Firstly, signing up. No problems. You have to provide your title, first name, last name, all parts of your address including country, date of birth (as far as I know there are no age restrictions), then you choose a password and then confirm your password. If you already are a member of Webrewards, you must put in your username, so any Webrewards won can be immediately credited to your account. These details can all be changed in the ‘your profile’ section of luckysurf.com, and you can also sign up to (or unsubscribe) their newsletter, another Infomail newsletter, and a daily reminder. (More on that later)

Playing. Right, you have to choose seven numbers out of fifty. After the first time you will have the option of replaying your last numbers, or let luckysurf.com pick them for you with an autopick option. The ‘replay last numbers’ and ‘autopick’ options both have links just under the balls, so this is quite and easy to do. I tend to play the same numbers all the time. My UK lottery numbers and my age to make seven in total.

After picking your numbers you must click on one of the five banners which provide links to companies such as ebay, BT Internet, (dare I mention it?!) DooYoo and various other websites offering prizes etc. such as gambling casino sites and lotto sites. The webpage will then be redirected to this site, and another small window will appear telling you that you must wait for your game to be validated. This will either close automatically after your game has been validated, or can be closed manually. The time for your game to be validated is basically when the website you are being redirected to has nearly fully loaded. This window can then be closed if it is of no interest to you (most of the time then!).

That is all you really have to do! You will receive an email after two o’clock (British time) in the morning with the results (the draw takes place at one o’clock am) which will tell you if you have won, and will list the balls you choose and the winning balls. There will also be a link to play the game again, and you will not have to sign in every time you do this as the link includes your email address. This is very handy as it means you do not have to keep opening a browser and going to the website, just one simple click on a link which will do it for you. The daily email reminder is also a great aspect, because if you forget to play you know you will still receive that link.

Now, possibly the part you are interested in… the prizes.

Seven balls = $1,000,000 (one million!)
Six = $1,000
five = 500 Webrewards
four = 150 Webrewards
three = 10 Webrewards.

(note, I actually mean US $’s, so you are looking at about £700,000 for the first prize going by the exchange rate at the moment)

How often do you win a tenner on the UK lottery? Not that often right? Same problem here! I have been playing this game since the beginning of the year, and I have won 10 Webrewards a massive three times! So, not really worth playing is it? I will not lie, it is not often you will win unless…

Luckysurf.com decide to do what they did in February and March this year. If you matched two numbers you earned 5 Webrewards. I did this sixteen times in those two months hence the title of this opinion!). If you think about it, you are guaranteed to win with this offer. Fifty balls, two needed, seven drawn. On average, each ball is drawn once a week (seven balls, seven draws, 7 x 7 = 49) and the chances of two of your balls being selected together are relatively high, so this was a beneficial offer, you should win twice a week really. But not many Webrewards on offer for winning two so…

This game is free to play, so it is not like I can say it is a waste of time as you are not losing anything by playing. It takes about two, maybe three minutes each time you play, taking into account that the page must load, you must select your balls, then have your game validated. Not a lot of time needed.

The website is perhaps a little slow to load up, it is easily navigated if you wish to look at your details or past wins, and is laid out in a nice yellow colour, quite appealing to the eye.

Oh, Pricewaterhousecooper (Elton John’s accountants I think, in the news recently) are the people who monitor the draws, so a global, respectable company there.

Disadvantages that sometimes happen are that, the results are late, and turn up at eight o’clock at night, and if you are out (like I was last night) you cannot play if you are not home in time. I think you have to choose your numbers before twelve o’clock that night.

This product is worth looking at, but do not expect to much!
